  • Pontoon mirror
This works great on our pontoon!

  • Nice clamp
I half expected a light plastic feeling piece. But this is some solid feeling metal. It will clamp on well and a certainly it would not fall off. It extends a good bit if needed but starts at the mirror being just over one foot from the top of the clamping mount. It will extend to about twice that distance if needed (not in our case) and still feels very strong with it extended out. Nice convex to the mirror to give a nearly 189 degree view behind. A little bend to it and it can even be adjusted to move out a little further to allow an easier side view while docking (helpful when solo on the boat). Mounts secure and quiet with no rattling. ... show more

  • Poor glue joints
The parts are well made but two tube to socket joints came apart while mounting. Others then came apart twisting by hand. I am still keeping it and have sanded off paint, cleaned and re-glued all joints with epoxy.

  • Great over sized mirror to help see what's behind us
It appears to be great quality and was very well packed as shown in the pictures. The mirror itself is extra large in size, so that'll come in handy when driving the boat since we boat all around the Gulf Coast and the area is over populated with boats. I feel like we've had some boats literally show up out of nowhere so I felt like we needed something extra to help see the speedsters coming up on our boat and I this mirror will be perfect for the task. Plus, it has joints that will help position it better for us and our liking. Also, I like the powder coating too, it feels like it'll last a long while too since salt water can be very unforgiving. ... show more

  • Very nice and large rear-view mirror, MAJOR flaw discovered - SEE EDIT
The media could not be loaded. *SEE EDIT AT BOTTOM OF REVIEW* I've been needing and wanting a mirror for my pontoon boat and finally got around to getting one; this mirror is a very nice one, provides a clear view, has a broad field of view and is very stable once installed. The mirror comes with everything you'll need to install it; the only tools you'll need are the two Allen wrenches which they include as well. It's basically a universal mount, mainly designed to be used on the square railing, which most pontoon boats have, but you can install it anywhere that the bracket will fit and provide a stable, secure mounting. All of the pieces are made of metal and seem to be very sturdy and solidly built; there's no plastic which just doesn't hold up very well when subjected to wind and a lot of vibration. The mirror is designed to be very functional, it has three swivel points - one at the base mount, one part way up the pole which holds the mirror and then also the mirror head will swivel. The mounting pole has a collar which can be loosened so the pole can be extended or retracted, depending on how and where it is mounted. With so many adjustment points, you shouldn't have any problem adjusting it to suit whatever mounting you have. Everything is easily adjusted by twist knobs. The back of the mirror has an American flag design made into the metal, but it also comes with a colorful American flag decal which you can peel the backing off and stick to the back of the mirror. I really like this added feature as it brings the flag design to life and looks really good on the back of the mirror! Overall, this is a high-quality and well-made mirror, one that will hold up to wind, vibration and just about anything you can throw at it while out on the water. It could be mounted to a golf-cart, UTV, etc., and it would hold up very well. As far as value, it may seem a bit pricey, but I can tell you from experience, I've had flags and other items with similar mounts made of inferior parts (mainly plastic) and design which absolutely will not hold up in the wind and bouncing around due to wave action. This mirror assembly has a very sturdy mount, and all of the parts are robust and so far, it has held its own and performed well on the boat. I think it is worth the money because of its quality and design and for these reasons, I do recommend it. EDIT: so after installing the mirrors and taking the boat out, I discovered a major flaw in the rods and bracket of the mirror, the elbow section which attaches to the base is glued, not securely attached. This is a big deal because, that glue will fail, mine did and it will cause the mirror to either swivel with no way to stay in place or the whole mirror assembly could fall off, causing loss or damage to the mirror head. Watch the video I posted, you can skip to around the 4:10 mark to see how the rod is glued into place. Now, I fixed mine, I drilled a couple of holes and put screws in them which fixes the issue but, you shouldn't have to do any modifications of a new product such as this, this is something that should have been done during manufacturing! To me, this is a very poor design in what initially was a very good product. Other than this one issue, and trust me, it is a BIG problem, this mirror assembly is top notch in every other aspect. BUT, due to this major issue, I have deducted 2 stars and now give it only 3 stars and really, an argument could be made to give it only 1 star. If you're okay with drilling a couple of holes to fix this flaw, this mirror is great, just be aware it will require a better attachment method because it is too risky to chance losing the mirror in rough water and/or wind. ... show more

  • Great addition to the pontoon, wish it had a little more flexibility in movement.
Took this mirror out for the first time last weekend, and I have to say, it made a huge difference. Being able to see so much more behind the boat took a lot of the stress out of pulling the kids on the tube. The wide curve really opens up the view, and the flag design actually looks better in person than I expected. Adjusting it is quick and easy, and the folding pole makes storing it a breeze when we dock. I clamped it down once and it didn’t budge the whole day, even when we hit some pretty good wakes. Honestly, it just works the way you want it to, and it adds a little style too. ... show more

  • Sturdy
The size of the mirror is really beefy. The posts and components feel sturdy and look well made, and have a nice powder coating on them. We will be installing this on a pontoon boat this winter and I'll plan to update my review then. Looking forward to installing this mirror as it appears that it will really meet our needs! ... show more
