Dude. Its 100000000% worth the money so you don’t freeze your ass off in the boat at 4 am. Your boat will 180 in comfort and it’s not that hard to put it on yourself. You need a razor blade, a bunch of clean cloths and rubbing alcohol. Clean the surface. By more than you need. Take your time. Find someone to help you peel the back off a little at a time. And stick it down. Cut off the sides where they hang over/seam and enjoy. It will change the level of comfort inside your boat 10 fold.

I should have installed this years ago (if they had this for the price then)! I have a couple of aluminum jonboats that I installed this and other colors from the same brand, thus I have the same review for each color I ordered. I fish once every week of the year, sometimes more, so its gonna get a beating. I have a post seat mounted on the front deck and love to fish barefoot. In the summer or any hot sunny day, the deck gets scorching hot and I burn my feet! No more! The texture and softness feels so good on my feet and the temperature is just warm to the touch even on the hottest of days! I also have a bunch of high end fishing reels that I take great care of and needed to be careful not to put my reels down on the rough aluminum deck. This decking allows me to drop my rods down while landing a fish without worrying about damaging or scratching my rods/reels. I keep a lot of lures on my deck as I'm cycling through bait selection for the day. This decking keeps them scratch free and the hooks don't get buried in the thin foam material. Installation was pretty straight forward, I scrubbed the deck thoroughly with dish soap and water, rinsed, then scrubbed again with water, then wiped the surface with 91% rubbing alcohol and let it dry. I then measured and cut the area just a 1/2" bigger and laid it on the surface. I pulled a corner of the backing to release just a small area of adhesive backing and pulled a little at a time while pressing the decking down. I did watch a few videos on YouTube for some advice on how to lay it down. Its a lot easier after doing it once. I've only had this installed for about 3 months now and I 've been horrible about keeping my boat covered, so we'll see ho long the adhesive holds up. I've washed it many times and the stains from fish blood, drink spills, and random bird droppings are easy to get out. The blood takes a bit of scrubbing so I'd recommend wiping it up immediately after it happens. I can tell you that the leading edge of the front deck is exposed and there is no area where any of the adhesive is pulling away. IT"S ON THERE! I believe surface prep is the most important key to longevity. I knocked one star off since I feel like this is still expensive for thin foam, but its worth it. I hope that this information has been helpful to someone!

Using this EVA product attached to polycarbonate twin wall panels in my camper van to make lightweight panels that are decorative based upon the color and pattern of EVA, and have a little air barrier for insulation and sound reduction. Everything arrived boxed and safe. Inspecting the roll for size, it seemed to be correct. Where the EVA is cut, it isn't really exactly square with the pattern. So, before installing on my squared up panel shape, I cut the leading edge of the roll and squared my panel at that point for installation. I used a simple razor blade to cut to size. Cutting faster will yield faster cutting, but it might leave a slightly jagged edge. Taking your time cutting will yield cleaner results. My edges are going to be covered by other hardware, so I cut quickly. Overall, adhesion seems to be very good. The size you purchase will probably be about right, but there may be a loss in your project in squaring up the pattern to suit the appearance you're looking for.
