Just completed assembling this bed. Now that it is finally put together, it seems strong and it is very attractive; it is marketed as boho, but it is fairly minimalistic, so it would fit with a variety of interior designs. It is very neutral in terms of gender. While I do like the looks of it, make sure you have two people to put this together. There are points in assembly where one will need to hold pieces off the floor while the other bolts them into place. I bought the king size, so the pieces were very large and awkward. Another set of hands would have saved a lot of balancing pieces on books and frustration. I did put this together by myself, but I have a lot of experience assembling furniture. This bed was a little frustrating, not just due to the size of it, but 3 of the 6 predrilled holes on the headboard were overdrilled, so the bolts just spun in place rather than thread properly. I ended up having to drill additional holes and use wood screws to secure the piece. Not ideal on veneered furniture, as it splits easily. Few other things: As others have mentioned, yes, the layout of the legs are misnumbered in the instructions. Just look at a photo of the completed bed and it is pretty easy to determine the correct configuration. Also, I found it much easier to attach the headboard to its supports (the 3 pieces that are adjustable for height) *after* attaching the supports to the frame. The instructions have you attach these to the headboard as the first step. I followed this step (which is when I realized the issue with the overdrilled holes) but ended up removing the supports from the headboard at the end, attaching the supports to the frame, and then attaching the headboard as the last step. With a twin or full, this may not be necessary to switch steps, but that king headboard was not light and I could not hold it 8" off the ground with one hand while inserting and tightening bolts with the other. (I am a 5'2" woman...my arms don't stretch that far. :-) ) Overall, I am pleased with the end result but the manufacturer could do a better job of quality control with regard to assembly. ... show more

This bed frame is very stylish, sturdy, and comes at a great price. However I am very disappointed by the assembly process. The directions for putting on the legs of the bed frame are incorrect. And the bolts for the headboard were not long enough. I had to go to Lowe’s and buy a set of bolts to finish making the bed. ... show more

This is a great bed and looks great. yes is it is a little darker color than the image. To build this you need to first: -Unbox the bed and look at the hardware. Take the one one of the larger screws to home depot or lowes and ask an employee to find you 5 more just like that one. It's okay if its a different head on it, you just need to proper length, girth, and threading. -*this part is just my opinion* grab a pack of corner brackets from the cabinet section. They sell packs of 4 that come with screws. -build the bed exactly as the instructions say, I dont know why people are acting like its confusing its not. -you will need a second hand when you attach the legs to the headboard. someone holding the headboad up is helpful, the rest of it i did myself (im very handy, if you're inexperienced youll probably need a second hand for some other parts. -right before you put on the slats (the velcro pieces that are attached together) put those corner brackets in on the inside of the bed frame. its not needed, but will help extend the life of the bed and make it more sturdy. ... show more

I do like the finished product, the bed was easy to put together and sturdy. I put it together myself in about 45 minutes.The design is cute and easily matches my vintage dressers and nightstand. The one issue I had, (Much like other reviewers) I found that the headboard had manufacturing issues when it came to the hardware and threading. The headboard threads are set too far in for the screws to thread…But on the plus side it was very easily mended by purchasing longer screws at the hardware store. I will include pictures of the exact package I purchased as they fit perfectly. (They were metric sized) in the image I circled the 2 gold screws on the right which were the only included factory screws that fit the headboard threads…the other 4 had to be replaced with the silver screws I purchased at Lowe’s. The replacement hardware was $3 so it’s not a big deal. I wouldn’t mess around with purchasing a drill bit or drilling your own holes if you run into this problem…Just grab the new hardware at the store :) ... show more

We were looking for a minimalistic headboard that fit our decor while also being functional. We wanted to be able to put storage bins under our bed. The bins just fit with 6in of clearance. We really like how this bed looks in our room and with our neutral/boho theme. The wood color is a little more yellow than the pictures, but it doesn’t bug us. I looked long and hard for a solid wood bed frame that wasn’t $500+. This one is a great value for the money. As others have noted, the pilot holes for the headboard aren’t deep enough. I went out and got a 5/8 spade drill bit as well. I had do drill 4 out of the 6 holes deeper. Once I did that, it worked perfectly. Overall, great bed with a few assembly issues. ... show more

The headboard screws are too short. So add $20 and the time it’s going to take you to go to the hardware store to get to proper ones to the cost of the bed. Also a couple of screws won’t tight on the legs. You would think that a product that costs this much would have better quality assurance.

The bed frame itself is solid and nice. Relatively easy to assemble as well. The problem, as a couple of others have noted, is that quality control for the headboard is poor. My headboard arrived with the receiving bolt holes completely misaligned, and they're metal, so there's no way to make simple modifications and correct the alignment. A very good customer service agent helped me out with a relatively complicated replacement process, but if the new headboard is also screwed up, then I can't recommend this bed frame at all.
