I’m very happy with this purchase. Got the king size frame and it fits my mattress perfectly. Easy enough to put together. I did slightly modify, cut about 3-inches off the four corner legs and two center legs. Had to lower the whole bed a few inches due to a tall mattress and topper. We were looking for a platform frame in a natural finish with clean lines AND we were working on a budget so we were really excited to find this bed. It's a king so I definitely needed help to build it, but assembly was extremely easy. Holes were all drilled properly and all dowels are very secure. It was packed very well, no damage to any of the wood, and it just looks absolutely perfect in our room. The slats are even with the frame, so the mattress doesn't drop down at all to keep it in place but ours doesn't move around at all so not an issue to me, you really only see it when the bed isn't made. It's a gamble to order furniture online because you never know what condition it will arrive in, but again the producer did a great job packing and protecting the pieces which was a huge relief! First, i would like to thank my deliverer because he lugged this heavy box halfway down my driveway! We needed to leave it there a few days to get the other bed out of the room and get ready for this bed to go in. After reading other reviews, i was eager to see the bed. It is beautiful hard acacia wood. We got the caramel color. The person we hired to assemble the bed was a no-show, so we begrudgingly started to put the pieces together, finding it easy to do, so our spirits brightened considerably. We are 74 and 79, so not very agile anymore. But we were able to take our time and had it done in about two hours. Anyone able-bodied could do it in 45 minutes! The slats are anchored to the frame by velcro, so sturdy and no squeaks. I know nothing about platform beds, or wooden frames, so I was mighty relieved to see how well made this bed is. We are thrilled, comfy and would recommend this manufacturer to anyone considering a bed like this. If i could make one suggestion tho, please send two allen wrenches so one person can be helping not standing by and waiting for her turn! ... show more

Good build quality and materials. Sturdy. One complaint is about assembling. Two hex head (Allen wrench) bolts are used to assemble each side of each leg, so there are 16 in total. Because each bolt is parallel to the sides, an oval shaped hole is routed in the wood. The hole is about 2" long and you can't easily use/fit the provided Allen wrench because the tool is longer than the hole. It really requires a "ball head" Allen wrench that is at least 3-4 inches long. It's tedious and annoying to turn each bolt a quarter turn. However, assembly is needed only once and once built it's a very nice bed frame. ... show more

Assembly of something so heavy is quite daunting for me being someone who's had spine surgery and can't lift much. I'm also a woman age 50, but very determined to do stuff without assistance. So, I had to carry it up to my bedroom piece by piece....box is very, very heavy. I was surprised at how easy it was to assemble being very solid wood pieces. Super sturdy....put my new Sterns & Foster mattress right on it! I added a cool headboard against the wall and just pushed the bed into it. There wasn't an area on the frame to attach the headboard, but I'm sure you could drill holes and attach it. Super happy with it! ... show more
