The Bluetti AC180 meets all of my needs and more. As a woman I have no problem handling it in my RV van. It is not what can be called lightweight but at 36 lbs is very manageable. The design and quality is excellent. Charging it is a breeze. The two handles make it easy to carry. I use the cigarette lighter when driving and it is always ready for my needs. When sitting outside it runs my small TV without any problem. It is such a joy to have and I'm so happy I bought it. I also purchased a nice protective carry bag to keep any debris out of it. I received my Bluetti AC180 two days ago and have been incredibly pleased with its form factor, it’s functionality and its versatility! This unit will serve as a back up power source at our summer camp when we lose power (will power most everything we need in our kitchen for a day anyway just on battery power) and it will also travel with us on extended camping trips throughout New England this year. We have been consistently impressed with our smaller Bluetti power stations, but we needed something with more power and we also wanted a power station with greater solar input capacity. We were really hoping Bluetti would come through with a unit with specs comparable to the Ecoflow Delta 2 and were delighted to see the AC 180 introduced at an amazingly low introductory price. The AC 180 has slightly more power than the Delta 2, but more importantly, it’s efficiency ratings are over 10% greater across the board. Big kudos to Bluetti for a well designed and versatile unit and for closing a gap in their portable power station line up! This is the best power station that I own. I own four power stations now, with the addition of this unit. This is by far the best of the bunch. My two Jackery units don't compare, other than their ruggedness, I hate to admit that they are inferior in every other way. My Ecoflow unit is more up to par for comparison, but it lacks in capacity. This Bluetti unit can power anything in my home except my laundry dryer. With the versatility of the phone app, and super fast charging, and 1800 watts of output, this unit for the price point is honestly setting the competition bar for all other brands. The Bluetooth feature is great and the app is worth the free download. I have 2 other Bluetti Portable Power Stations, so I do like the brand. I got it to charge in standard mode (draws about 700W on AC mains power) after taking it to about a 50% SOC. I charged it to 75%. Came back to finish the charge about 2 weeks later, and it only runs at "whisper mode" speed, or about 325W AC input on mains power. Have not tried with a pure sine generator I have, which may be the issue b/c I don't trust my PUD to send me clean power. As for the device itself, it's exactly what I need to keep my upstairs refrigerator going in a power outage, as well as a few LED lights, keep the phone charged, etc. Since it has a pretty large capacity, I estimate it will run around 8 hours before I'd need to charge it up again and that would be with a continuous draw down of about 150W I don't usually run my fridge continuously during an outage, so it will likely last longer on a 100% SOC. I may update this when I get around to using it more and try a few other things to see if I can get it to charge faster. I have other LFP batts I use for other critical loads, and those charge fast on genny power so this one just isn't needed in that way. We'll see. ... show more

Bottom line: If you can find this on sale, don't hesitate. If you can only get it at regular price, it's still a strong contender. Pros: 1800W advertised continuous with decent surge power overhead (and it might do more, but YMMV) More than 1100Wh capacity as advertised Built-in solar charge controller/DC input as well as mains fast charging capability UPS mode to provide continuous power for those critical devices Cons: When the fans are fully running, it can get slightly (but not overly) noisy. DC charge efficiency isn't the highest (but it's still more than adequate) No option for full-load battery expansion (this is the only TRUE con I have found!) I was floored by this one when I picked it up on sale. It's surprisingly capable for light to medium loads. Maybe it's not perfect, but I doubt we'll get any closer any time soon and for anywhere near the price. If you're knowledgeable enough to safely build and deploy one, a DIY power backup kit might cost slightly less than the AC180 would on sale. However, a DIY monstrosity will end up falling short in nearly every way. For the price point, feature set, and quality, the AC180 really can't be beaten. For the slight price difference, this one is well worth paying the "Convenience Tax" and enjoying the additional features and flexibility you'll get with it. ... show more

So far so good. I’m impressed with the ease of use and the multiple charging functions. Not too heavy to move around and doesn’t take up much space. Price is about average for this unit. The true test will come during the next power outages this winter and next summer. But I think this unit along with my other off grid backup system will help us get through the power outages. ... show more
