    • My EB240 was working okay for just a few weeks, then it happened.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: It took me a while to get in touch with someone via phone, but when I did, the communication flowed. I was able to put my videos in better context, and we tried a couple of other tests with no luck. I was discussing returning everything, and getting the logistics down was a challenge, because I'm not in the U.S. (Jamaica). They tried and I was working on getting the boxes ready. However, due to my location, The RMA wouldn't work. Itwas easier to refund, which came through immediately. While this unit wasn't working, i upped my rating because the communiation made such a difference. I respected their sincere desire to help. I am shopping with them again, BUT I will not be getting THIS kit again. In our conversations, Brenda (from the company) mentioned that the SP panels are the older type. The PV type are newer and more efficient. I already placed my order for another smaller system. If you are looking at the EB240, i don't recommend this kit. I recommend getting an updated unit with comparable PV panels. If you decide to go the eb240, I suggest you get the unit and buy the PV panels separately. When I get the new order, I will test to see if the eb240 is working. Either way, opt for one of the comparable AC series. -------- My unit was working well for a short while, but there were little quirks that I wrote off. There were times when the panels were up, and the unit wasn't charging. I'd jiggle and play around with it, but it would work again. Then it got really problematic even when the panels were in full sun. I used it all through TS Ian and it needed charging, but when we finally got some sun, it wouldn't. I spoke to a couple of friends. Ones an electrical engineer and the other is a solar panel expert who's local. I was told it could be the panel wiring or something in the unit. I don't have the equipment to check. I called around electronics stores for voltmeters. None around and they're not sure when more would be coming into the island. So I had to rely on deductive reasoning. I decided to test the panels one at a time. One panel was not sending current at all. In fact, when I plugged it in, the panel light flickered repeatedly. When I turned the eb240 unit on, there was blinking on the battery icon, but there was no wattage shown. I tested the other panel. It showed wattage. While I acknowledge that it was working, I was cautious, because it tends to work for a few minutes and shut off. I was right. A few minutes later, the unit was off. That panel was still plugged in. Sun was out, but nothing. Even if the sun is behind a passing cloud, I should still see something. Nothing. As mentioned, I'm not sure what's going on, but I think it's strange that the panel seemed to be charging the unit and then not charging. What are the odds that both panels are bad? What are the odds that the something's wrong with the unit itself? What are the odds that it's a combination of both? I have no idea, but this is still a devastating result because I rely on this for my light, and I need electricity to work and just live. If this were some years down the road, I would get it. But this isn't even 6 months! The power company here is not good. I could tell you stories of how their low current ruined fridges or how long the power outages are. The sun is way more reliable. I have submitted about 8 or 9 videos to the company. They could tell me to bugger off or work to help me fulfill this basic need in the best way possible as quickly as possible. Me encantó. Vivo en Puerto Rico y compré el generador para no sufrir de calor luego de un huracán. Se sufrió de calor con humedad en las noches, en el día uno se entretiene organizando el desastre que deja un huracán pero en las noches uff. Cuando llegó el generador no había pasado un huracán pero hubo problemas con cortes de electricidad frecuentemente. Lo utilizo con un aire de ventana de 5000btu y me duró 5 horas. Me resolvió muy bien. En cuanto los paneles solares 2 son muy poco tarda en cargar lo puse directo al sol ya sabe vivo en PR el sol es Rull constante y sólo alcanzó los 200 de recarga por 2 horas al medio día. Me compre otro panel no lo e puesto a prueba todavía pero quiero el 4to pero será mas adelante por que son caros. Hasta ahora no me puedo quejar me resuelve muy bien para lo que quiero un aire y lo recomiendo. Pero si necesitas conectar otros artefactos durante el día pues no tendrás aire en la noche porque con dos paneles no cargara lo rápido que necesitas. Pero cumple para lo que lo compre. ... show more

My only gripe is that you can't charge the Bluetti AND power devices at the same time. Which makes having only one Bluetti seem self defeating. Otherwise it's an awesome product. Wish their was a case for it to protect it and make it seem less conspicuous. The panels aren't water proof and I'd like see some of these panels come in a fashion to which you can inconspicuously attach them to your car without fear of weather. Kind of makes the panels seem self defeating as well considering you would have to be near them to make sure they didn't get wet. You can't just leave them or the generator charging. Stuff to think about. Overall decent. But some issues. ... show more

In Puerto Rico we are having lots of issues with the power company. Easy to use, so the plan is using this product for emergency and black outs by a my father with 87 years old. I will be more happy if it was move using FEDEX or UPS and receive it at home instead of going to USPS Station that is a pain an more with heavy items. Our power frequently goes out sometimes for long periods, it was great to just pull out the generator and have immediate power! We needed a silent power option to run an O2 concentrator at night when traveling and staying in campgrounds with quite hours, this gives us 8+ hours and has zero noise. Recharging can be done with solar panels, inverter generator, or 15amp shore power options.
