... and you'll be very satisfied with this portable appliance. It does not "fill the room with powerful sound." If you want that, you'll need a Bose and another $1-200+ dollars. I don't like to listen to music with ear buds, and my iPad speaker is a wafer made of wax paper. For my morning coffee on the patio - I wanted something a little more hi-fi than that, and this unit provides it. But at the end of the day, it's a plastic tube with a couple of small speakers in it - so I wouldn't imagine playing it loud would be very enjoyable listening. But for smooth background music, it is more than capable of "good" sound. Also - I wasn't sure if I wanted a unit that had lights on all the time - but you can choose moving color, solid color or none at all for listening in the dark. So i got this for my dad for christmas and needed to test it out to make sure it sounded good. for the price especially on sale (i got it for 20 dollars) it packs a nice punch and get very loud without distorting. The base is warm, it's not boosted but sounds good sound quality wise (wont compare to nice mid range headphones tho). the high and mids are perfect in my opinion for just blasting music while working or at get togethers, i feel it could even work at parties very well. it's not big at all and easily transportable. I use this speaker for work, I work nights 10 hr shift so I have it on and pretty much full blast my intire shift, i never have to stop and charge it, but i also don't use the lights i drive forklift im not at a disco...really no complaints bass could be better but other than that I would recommend buying it ... show more

Bought this for mother-in-law who has trouble hearing on her cell phone. When a phone call comes in, the speaker actually rings loud. When you answer the call, you here the caller through the speaker, not yourself, so no feedback. And the volume up button actually makes it way too loud for me. So the sound quality and volume are incredible. Got Pandora playing Christmas music on it right now and that sounds great too. Highly recommend this device. ... show more

For such a small device it has wonderful sound quality and fills the house easily. The lights on the ends are cut but I don’t use them too much. Love the rubber feet on the bottom makes for non skid and it has stayed in place while moving a table. No complaints from my end.

I wanted a portable speaker to use sparingly for certain situations and I didn't want to splurge on the high-quality speakers. The sound quality is decent for what you pay and I'm quite content with it. If you are looking for high-quality sound then these are not for you. Battery seems to be fine, I've used it a few house each day for a few days and it didn't need recharging yet. The one negative is the usb charging cable was bent. Package wasn't damaged either. I could not get a replacement usb cable per customer service and my only option was to return it. I ended up bending the cable so it fit in the port and just kept it. ... show more

I've got to admit that I'm very impressed with this little speaker. For the price, I really expected something with less sound. Great surprise to hear how full the sound was. The only thing I haven't experimented with yet is distance. I can say that the signal is great up to around 25 feet. The real test will come later, to see if it lives up to the advertised distance. These speakers are easy to use and the cost of both were the replacement cost for 1 speaker which was previously bought but would not charge up. Read the instructions carefully to use them in stereo.
