  • Excellent Sound - Especially with TWS
Color: Black
I have two of these Bogasing M4 speakers. I use them TWS paired - for stereo. Here's a few comments that might help others. Comparisons with Other Speakers: I can only compare these to my other battery bluetooth speakers: Bose Mini Soundlink and Marshall Kilburn II. When listening to one Bogasing (in Bass Mode - Green), it sounds comparable in sound to my Bose (but the Bogasing is 1/3 the price of the Bose) and plays louder (as it has more available power and the speaker is slightly larger than the Bose). When comparing it to my larger Marshall Kilburn II, the Marshall is more accurate in sound as the Marshall has the advantage of a much bigger box/drivers, more power, and precise EQ (bass/treble) adjustments - but again the Marshall costs 4x more than the Bogasing (so...if you are willing to pay more and have a larger speaker - the Marshall is great). Now, where the Bogasing really shines for me is when you purchase two of them and use the TWS feature (which my Bose and Marshall cannot do). I am truly impressed with the sound quality, loudness, and stereo field (much better volume and soundstage than using either a single Bose and/or single Marshall). I purchased the Bogasing units because I wanted something small/portable/stereo pair that plays loud, can be outside/weather resistant, and not distort. These Bogasing speakers do this perfectly for me. EQ Settings (VOCAL, BASE, 3D) Observations: VOCAL mode (White Light) - it is bright and the loudest position (as it removes a lot of the low end which frees power for louder mid/high frequencies). I only use the VOCAL mode when loud is the only required criteria. BASE mode (Green Light) sounds the most accurate to me but doesn't play as loud as the two other EQ positions. I use BASE mode inside home. 3D mode (OFF light) seems to use the most DSP but has excellent extension of both base and vocals, is the 2nd loudest position, and does a great job of sounding full range yet not distorting. I prefer 3D mode outside. User Manual is Lacking some Info: The manual needs some help in the descriptions of the indicator lights - as the lights provide all kinds of helpful status but they are not described well nor indicated in the correct positions in the manual. There are 3 status lights: a combo PWR/BT/CHARGE (Blue/Blue Flash/Red) Light (which is above the "M" button on Left), there is TWS (Yellow) Light (also above the "M" button on Right), and a EQ (White/Green/Off) Light (above the EQ button). Having the power related status light above the "M" (Mode Switching button) instead of above the POWER button is confusing. Also, the TWS light location/function is not shown in the figures section of the manual - but TWS operation is described in the text. Use Issue (Red CHARGE Light Stays ON): **UPDATE** My Red CHARGE light never goes off (on one of my two speakers) after a full charge. The manual says its supposed to go OFF at charge completion (supposedly after 4 hours). It also states in manual that you should ensure you use a 2Amp supply/charger (not a smaller 1Amp supply) when charging. I am using a USB meter on my "suspect" speaker battery to track the charging volts/amps - and I'm finding that the final resting charge current is not dropping down as far on the suspect unit when compared to the charging values on the working unit. I believe that I may just have an out of spec battery in this particular suspect unit. I noticed some other reviewers on Amazon have indicated the same Red Light off issue, but I have not noticed as battery performance issues even with this light anomaly. **UPDATE** So...I have several in-wall receptacle USB power supplies and some external (brick) USB power supplies. All are 2Amp or higher output. For kicks, I took out my USB volt/current meter and checked ALL of the USB power supply output (V) voltages (with the speaker plugged in and charging). What I found was that the output voltage was not exactly the same across vendors (most were around 5.0V regulated but some went as high as 5.2V regulated - with newer units providing the higher voltage). What was interesting is that the RED Charge light FINALLY went out (i.e., charge completed) ONLY on the power supplies that were outputting above 5.10V (meaning this particular speaker charge profile/battery is very sensitive to the source power supply output voltage). You'd think the design should be such that it should work/complete charge with anything close to 5.0V/2A - but this was NOT the case for me. So...if you're having issues where the speaker NEVER completes the charge cycle (i.e., light stays on). Then I'd suggest you try finding/using a USB power supply that leans towards the HIGHER side of 5V voltage output. Again, I may have a battery that is slightly out of spec, but other purchasers have mentioned/reported the same RED light issue. So hopefully the designers look at this data for potential improvement. Good Luck. Overall Summary: Excellent for the price!! Good sounding/loud speaker for its size. I really like the TWS mode. ... show more

  • Destroys the competition at a fraction of the cost.
Color: Black
I'm going to start by saying I'm an audiophile on a budget, I love discovering new speakers and amplifiers that are low cost but high quality, and the Bogasing M4 covers both of those areas excellently. I am comparing them to a Sony SRS-XB33 as well as a pair of Bose Model 141 Bookshelf Speakers on a modern Type-D amplifier (50Wx2 RMS). and the Bogasing handily beats the Sony in audio quality and can even keep up with a Bose speaker that is 4 times the size. Truly amazing, I never thought I'd find a speaker that could match my Bose speakers while being 1/4 the size (thus more portable), wireless, and waterproof to bat. (I've taken these in the shower with no issues but I haven't submerged them, though I would trust them there too due to how good the port seal on the back is.) This beats the Sony unit in every measure except part tricks, as the Bogasing isn't equpped with RGB party lights, but it easily makes up for it sound quality. The build quality is incredible, the thing is built like a tank. Fine mesh to protect the drivers, rubber surrounding the top, bottom, and sides, and the exposed golden-colored screw heads are a very welcome touch. The drivers inside hit so hard that the entire unit vibrates, which I believe contributes to it's excellent bass response. It vibrates with more intensity than any other speaker I've encountered in this size class. The pairing process is as easy as any Bluetooth speaker, as is the process for pairing 2 of them together to get true wireless stereo. I have actually bought 4 of them to get surround sound since I have a Samsung phone that can broadcast to 2 Bluetooth devices simultaneously. I will say the spatial sound with just 2 or even 1 unit is still impressive. To pair two of them together, simply turn on 2 units and double-press the power button on one to enter pairing mode, the other one will connect to it. Seriously, it's that easy, and as a bonus they will automatically reconnect to each other every time they are turned on. The 2nd LED on the top which is orange indicates stereo pairing. There are 3 EQ settings which are depicted by the 3rd LED indicator on the top of the unit, first the default option which works well for almost everything, though it sounds like the DSP tries a little too hard with bass in this mode at high volume, next is the white mode which widens the sound stage and raises the volume but reduces the bass, you should use this mode if you just want maximum volume. The 3rd and final is the green mode, which sounds much more balanced to me and won't push the drivers too hard while still having good bass response (this is the mode that sounds closest to the Bose 141s.) Overall, the Bogasing-M4 is just an amazing do-it-all speaker. Type-C charging, True Wireless Stereo with 2 units, good battery life, waterproof, all with excellent sound quality. I actually use these as my main speakers on my gaming PC, in a vertical orientation. At seventy dollars it is an excellent unit for the price, even more so at sixty dollars. Seriously, just buy it and thank me later. I've bought 4 of them so that should tell you just how good they are. I use them everyday at my workplace and my co-workers have commented about how good they are. ... show more

  • Great sound but....
Color: Black
This is without a doubt the best speaker I've heard and used. I was going to write up a review the next day I got the product but read a few more reviews and tested somethings out. First of all the sound coming from this on Bluetooth is amazing. Deep bass and great vocals on the 3d sound setting. The full bass setting just seems to lower vocals so it didn't really sound as good to me. What really made me test out the speaker longer was the battery life. No way does this speaker get even close to 24 hours on a charge. When you charge it the light is suppose to go off from red when done but it remains on even at full charge. However if you unplug it and plug it back in it does go off. While this isn't a deal breaker for me you get about 10 hours on one charge which is still better then all the speakers I own which are much smaller. I would easily give this a 5 star if I got closer to 20 hours but the product does advertise 24 and it's not even getting half of that. ... show more

  • BIG things come in small packages!
Color: Black
This is everything the + customer reviews said it was in terms of sound and bass. I actually got this to use as a portable amp for my acoustic guitar. I like to fly places and busk in cities and needed something loud, rich, and portable - this does the trick. So far, I’ve only used it 2 hours at a session, so I cannot comment in whether or not the battery life is as long as claimed. I can say that I agree with other reviews, that the wattage does not sound at loud as advertised. But I didn’t need it to be as loud as advertised anyway, so it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. It’s loud enough to get attention on a city sidewalk (with city noise) from 40’ away, so it’s more than adequate. If you really want something louder than that, you should be spending more $ on a bigger item anyway. It certainly matches up with my JBL flip in volume, but with zero latency. That’s mainly the only reason musicians typically don’t play out of these portable consumer stagers - there’s usually a delay of about a second on Bluetooth speakers, even when you plug straight in. That makes playing classical guitar, which is what I do, very confusing when what you’re fingers are doing doesn’t match up with what you’re hearing. When I take a break and play mp3s off my phone it sounds great. Yes dear musicians, I know music companies make rechargeable small portable acoustic speakers for guitar. But they all, even the high dollar ones, sound like a fart in a tin can. They’re also heavier and bulkier, making them inconvenient for putting in an overhead suitcase for air travel. This thing reproduces all the rich complexities of an acoustic guitar, and fits in my carry-on suitcase leaving plenty of room for clothes and toiletries with minimal added weight. ... show more

  • Amazing Speaker, especially for Beach!
We ordered the BOGASING M4 speaker about a week before we were heading to the beach. Tested it out while grilling out and playing soccer around the yard. We loved the sound! Could hear it clearly without distortion. So we were very hopeful it would be a hit on the beach. When I read reviews before ordering no one really shared how it cut through wind/ocean sounds while on the beach. Well, this thing was amazing! Again plenty of volume if you wanted it, we never had it on max volume. We could have it low enough not to bother neighbors on the beach but could hear perfectly at "our camp". Another thing I didn't see reviews on was using the speaker with an Micro SD Card. My thought was maybe it use less battery having it's music source installed as to using Bluetooth to connect to our phones or ipod I normally take out on the beach. Not entirely sure if it made a battery difference but it was nice not having to worry about bluetooth connectivity distance. I could quickly carry it with me to shoreline, set it on beach chair arm rest. I even found setting it on a boogie board while out in the water worked amazing since we were on Gulf side. At one point a kid knocked it off the armrest of the chair, the safety strap kept it hooked to my chair but waves crashing on shoreline did hit it along with sand. My husband watch near by people freaking thinking our speaker was done for. Then the reply shock on their faces when I picked it up put it down firing in the water to flush out any sand, couple of pats in my palm to help any water out and we were good to go! We'd take it to the pool after the day on the beach (still on the same charge). It sounded amazing in the pool area. If others showed up to the pool I'd try to turn it down a bit to be considerate and they would say, "o don't turn it down on my account, that thing sounds great!" Seriously this thing impressed us. When we got back home I filled the sink up to play it in the water to work any remaining sand out. I definitely could see sand in the bottom of the sink. ... show more

  • Junk made to be used until battery wears out and then it’s garbage. Very Disappointed!
Color: Black
Great speaker when it works … not practically designed at all … once the battery dies they make it sound easy to replace but it’s not 20+ tiny Phillips head & Allyn screws later two of which are in so tight they cannot be removed & still no battery panel on the bottom. Ready to throw mine in the garbage … and NO … I’m not buying another one. ... show more

  • Great Speaker for the price with some things you should know b4 buying
Color: Black
You will be hard pressed to find a better sounding speaker for $60. I have compared it to Tribit Soundmax and couple others in this price range, the BOGASING has a much better and deeper sound presence in 3D mode almost like a Bose, the highs and mids are very clear with nice bass for most music....BUT; this is why I only gave it 4 stars: 1) The only acceptable EQ setting is for music is 3D, for some reason the speaker lowers the volume substantially if you switch to Mega Bass mode, not only that but it loses is sound presence. I think they are doing some DSP trickery to get better sound with leads me to #2 2) Overmodulated Bass in 3D, Songs with loud or pounding bass lines sound somewhat distorted at high volume almost like the speaker is vibrating to much the bass can become quite distorted (EQ app on phone might help) Almost like the DSP is trying to hard. 3) Battery life is not bad, maybe 12 hours at half volume but no way is it 24 hours It is a solid yet on the large side speaker, with a great sound stage in most instances, don't think you can beat the prices. I need to use the speaker more on how to get the best sound I will update if I can get the 3D setting to produce better high volume beats ... show more

  • Great sound for most reasonable price!
I did a lot of research before deciding to buy the Bogasing bluetooth speaker -- and it really paid off. I just received it today and listened to a concert of classical music using it, and -- especially for this speaker's price point -- I couldn't be happier. I need to play with it more to find the mode I prefer for my listening preferences, but know I will find the one/s that is/are terrific for my purposes. The speaker has all the basic features and then some. Its own box kept it safe in transport, with Amazon's simply putting it into a significantly larger box not helping to protect it. It's heavier than most portable speakers, but it's sound and excellent build more than make up for that. While I appreciate its sturdiness and thoughtful design as a speaker, I personally don't care for its looks at all. However, I didn't buy it for its looks. The speaker comes with the cables one needs to use it right out of the box. Its Bluetooth paired instantly with my phone from about 20 feet away and through a wall. The manual is worth reviewing, but operating it is mostly intuitive. I can only assume that this speaker's ability to hold a charge will match what the company says about that, given that I've found everything else stated about its performance thus far has held true. Again, however, I've only had it for one day. I'll update this review should, over time, its performance --good and bad -- warrant it. ... show more
