  • Outstanding value for the money.sounds good.
Stuck this one n a trans am after refusing to spend another 400$ on the other classic radio like I put in my 80 Camro. This unit has exactly what I need for a retro car look. Blue tooth works perfectly and it has a good bump to it. Pushes my Skar audio speakers like it got an amp. Very cool. A guy at a cars n coffe turned me in to this when he noticed my T/A without a radio, Mind blown for the price. I should buy a few more just to stockpile. ... show more

  • Love it. One problem that you might have, along with the solution.
My classic car is old enough that the stereo cutout was even smaller than single DIN, but could be enlarged just enough to hold one. This is working perfectly and looks classic. In the attached photo the USB port is hidden behind the cigarette lighter, which happened to be very conveniently located. UPDATE: I generally like to play car music off a USB stick instead of streaming from my phone. This one worked fine unless the car was running, in which case it would cut in and out, mostly out. I noticed that the USB cable does not have a ferrite filter (the lump you often see on USB and power cables). So I added one to the USB cable, and to my power cable as well, just for good measure. That solved the problem (do NOT put one on both power and ground). You can get clip on ferrite filters here on Amazon. 5mm works well for the USB cable, which also matched my power feed. BTW The seller was very responsive when I asked about this problem and their response was to send me a new unit. It arrived dead, but it would have had the same problem in my car anyway. ... show more

  • Installation hick-up
Radio looks decent, but it’s not meant to fit older classic cars unlike with the description says. It requires you to cut a nice big rectangular hole in your dash which can be difficult on older cars since they are made of steel. I expected to have to only have to pull the knobs off in the face plate stick it in, but that doesn’t come off. The stereo is probably a decent radio, but the ads are misleading to what cars they would fit showing you old 50s and 60s vehicles. ... show more

  • Appropriately priced - low quality accessories.
Power plug defective - yellow wire was not attached and the pin was broken, I ended up taking the pin and wire from one of the speaker connections just to get it working. Not using the speaker connection anyway. Other than that it is a bargain, but the connectors are terrible.

  • 71 C10
installed in my 71 c10, works like a charm - cheap to replace so not worries if it goes bad. I dont run the radio option, only bluetooth. works well. would recommend for a budget friendly mod

  • Great vintage stereo look with all the modern functions for a bargain price
Installed in my 72 Chevy C20, it looks great and functions well. I would give this 5 stars for looks and function, but I haven't been able to get the radio station preset function to work. If everything else lasts saving stations is not a big deal. I usually stream via Bluetooth from my phone anyway. It connects to my Samsung phone instantly, the controls are very intuitive and the instructions probably not needed except for the aforementioned station saving function. The instructions have a section on saving stations but it is incomplete and doesn't reflect reality. I went the Retro Sound stereo route a few years ago and that unit was a POS within months. NEVER AGAIN. So I bit the bullet and cut my dash to fit this single din receiver. The face plate isn't removeable so you will have to cut that 2" x 7" hole in the dash. I figure for the price I can replace this if I have to every few years. If this lasts one year it will have outperformed the Retro Sound unit. Plus this one has bluetooth. You have to spend about $400 on Retro Sound to get bluetooth. If you check the pics you can see I took a piece of stereo speaker installation panel I had laying around and cut a back plate to fit the recession in the dash where the radio goes. The back plate even has the same black textured finish that the stock dash has around the gauges. ... show more

  • An excellant retro radio for my 1970 Jaguar
Excellent radio, but somewhat difficult to operate with so many features. My biggest complaint was that it did not come with a mounting tray. If it were replacing an existing radio, that would not be a problem. If it is an initial installation, you may need to fabricate a tray. I would still recommend the radio. It has quality sound and an abundance of features. Excellent service from seller. ... show more
