I figured out why that is. Just like with an external speaker, if your phone volume is set to low, then any external speaker or this helmet in this case, can only be as loud as the maximum volume of your mobile device allows it. Therefore, before posting a negative review, I would humbly recommend that you ensure your sound level is at maximum on the mobile device and then you can send it to your comfort level in the helmet. Helmet is nice, fits well. The Bluetooth speaker volume is real low, you could barley hear if talking on phone. Listening to music you could hear well, volume is still low. Packages arrived with the sweat headgear missing, tried to contact Amazon about order, only received promotional credit for missing item. Because I own several motorcycles, I have a variety of different helmets. Mostly brands like Bell, Scorpion, Fly, etc. I recently got a few other lesser-known-brand helmets and put this one on the high end of that bunch. The style of the helmet is good in the dark grey. Its not heavy, but not light like my carbon helmet either. Lots of features including the sun visor that drops down. I appreciate this because I wear glasses and don't like to stop to change from clear to sunglasses. This is helpful because I can just drop it down. The padding is reasonable, but spartan compared to some of my better helmets. Fit is slightly large when compared to Scoprion, but a L in this helmet is like a Large Bell helmet. Honestly, I prefer D rings for security in a helmet strap, but this click lock seems OK. The chin curtain feels a bit like an after thought and won't block much wind to reduce noise, but helps keep out the chill (I ride year 'round in Seattle). The bluetooth is a nice feature to include with a helmet. Yes, you can buy inexpensive systems to install, but this comes installed and paired easily with my iPhone. Volume was OK, but needs to be increased and decreased on the phone itself. The boom mike is attached and they put the adhesive velcro too close to the snap for the liner which I had to play with to make fit.
