I have several sets of old speakers I've been holding onto for years, so I was excited to try out this very compact and simple BT/line amplifier. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much. The packaging leaves a bit to be desired, but the device itself feels solid. I quickly connected it to an old pair of Infinity speakers and fired it up. Connecting via Bluetooth was effortless, the device powered on automatically when plugged in and I saw the status light flashing blue. Connected my phone to the device and it paired almost instantly. What a cool device, it's small but has good speaker terminals capable of using banana plugs or bare wire. It's one big volume knob basically, and you click the volume knob in for various functions. It lacks any kind of equalizer control, so you would have to do that from the signal device; which at this price and compact size seems fair. I was instantly curious what else it could do and pulled out the instruction booklet. I was happy to see a concise and well written English guide on controlling it's functions. You push the volume knob in once to swap between BT and line-in. Hold it down for 3 seconds to power off the device. Hold it down for 5 seconds to connect a different BT device, and I don't believe there's any kind of memory so you'd have to do this any time you switch devices. The instructions clearly show how to also use it in a bridged mode in multiple ways, and it appears you can use 2 of these together for a bridged line connection L and R if you needed more flexibility. As a final test I wanted to see if it would pair to my Google Home/Nest Hub(2nd Gen). It showed on the Nest screen that it was paired successfully but the amp was still flashing blue. I forgot the connection and tried again, still nothing. On the 3rd try I'm happy to report that it paired successfully and worked perfectly as intended. I'm going to assume this is typical of Google home and Echo style device BT pairing, as I've had issues like this pairing other devices to them. Very neat device, highly recommended. I'm not sure how it compares to other similar devices on price and quality, however I recently got a cheap Pyle radio/BT/line amp and it was fairly low quality overall. This has a higher build quality and better aestehtics, in a more compact package. I might dedicate this to a set of speakers on my fridge paired to the Nest hub, as I'm tired of listening to that crappy little speaker!

For the past almost 2 months, I've tried to find something wrong with this unit because I couldn't be;lieve it was actually this good.. No. it's actually just that good. Everything fromb build quality, to the very good sound quality to the less than 5 minute installation. Once you understand that Red light means AUx audio and Blue light means Bluetooth, that's it!! That's all you have to understand about this unit. It's small does it actually have power to push speakers? I hooked it up to 2 Yamaha book shelf speakers, a single Bose sound bar, and a 6x6 subwoofer and it has no issue at all pushing them to their limits. No you are going to notice a a drop in audio quality and power going from AUX to BT and that's wth any of these small amps because the bitrate is limited to 16bit-44100Hz, but it's effect is very little (I've been using it on BT mode because Windows broke Windows 10 audio with bad popping over Aux, so this thing has been a savior) Functionality? and Installation? You hook everything up and connect it however you wish, you push the volume knob for BT or Aux it's really that simple, which is just awesome to be able to flip from 2 modes like that, that easy. I've yet to have any BT brown outs or connection issues, and the unit doesn't run hot which amazing for it's size. Yes, you can get a Fosi amp but it's going to run you $80+ for half the price, I fully suggest this thing especially at $40, I'd say grab one for sure.

This style amp was really popular a while back, back then it was a crazy affairs' to get a solid amp in a tiny package like this for relatively little money. My favorite were the Neo series of tiny amps. They could be had for fifteen to twenty bucks all day long and they sounded great. I lost one in a move and my other one died with a lightning strike so I was pumped to see this come up for review. This is compact in size and similar to the other clones of this out there. The volume control knob does feel pretty decently high quality though, which is nice. It is a pretty basic amp, just the volume control knob which can be pressed for other functions, no other buttons or switches to be seen. Technical specs aside this no frills amp delivers no frills sound. There does not appear to be any signal processing going on at all. The sound is what the sound is. If you want to do any sort of shaping your going to have to use the AUX input and put a processor before the amp. I think if your running a 2.1 setup then this is not going to be a big deal, but a stereo setup is going to likely sound pretty flat, to does with the two sets of stereo speakers, there is virtually no bass without having a sub to bring it up. I also noticed out of the box your not getting a 100 watt power supply, so if you need more to drive a high impedance speaker set then your going to have to shell out another $20 - $30 for a 100 watt power supply.

This amplifier is quite small, lightweight, and compact (about the size of a deck of cards). It functions well, but requires a speaker system. It has a lot of power (no need to crank it up). At $39.99, this is a little pricey for this size of amplification. It has bluetooth reception, but not transmission.
