I wanted these hearing aids to help me hear so badly! And I am still determined that one of these days I will get them to work. I’ve been to an audiologist in the past, and they tried a few different types on me and were not successful. So it’s no surprise that I am struggling doing it by myself at home. At first I couldn’t figure out how to even charge them! I had them backwards in the case. I admit that I am. pretty lame at figuring out new things and reading instruction books. To be fair to myself, their book leaves out a lot of details. They tell you, for example, to make sure your hearing aids are turned on, but they do not tell you how to do that. I looked at their Facebook page and another person said the same thing. So it’s not just me. I finally figured out the app. And I tried, putting the fully charged hearing aids in my ears for the app to do the work. But they screech so loudly you can hear them in the next room. My daughter asked, what’s that? My new hearing aids. Frustrated, I tried so many things, rereading the instruction book, over and over, watching the Amazon videos, went to their Facebook page and reached out to them for help. Help never came. But I am determined that I will figure this out, maybe my adult kids will help me at Christmas time. In the meanwhile, I am struggling with very, very poor hearing. I read the customers both on Amazon and Facebook say how they were successful and how good these hearing aids are so I can’t give up. Maybe in writing this review somehow an answer will come to me how to stop the screeching! You’re being my life as a hard of hearing person is miserable at times. ... show more

    • Easy to use, "classic" style behind-the-ear amplifiers.
After struggling with the controls on in-the-ear amplifiers, I was looking forward to something that is easy to directly control without the need for an app. These amplifiers certainly fit that bill, with the additional benefit that they can still be controlled by an app. I found these hearing aids to be at least as good if not better than the others I've tried in their price range. Battery life is okay, sound quality is as expected, and while there may be some noise cancelling and selective amplification of voices, it wasn't overly impressive. Even with the usable controls, I did download the app and used it to configure the hearing aids. That certainly improved the experience. I did encounter two issues. The first issue is that I never could get the earpiece itself to be comfortable. The included tubes seemed to be just a little too short. The second issue is that I could never get my glasses and the behind-the-ear components to coexist. I wear progressive lens glasses, and these hearing aids interfered a lot. I don't know if it's the over-the-ear part of the frames, but there simply wasn't enough room behind my ear for both my glasses frame and the hearing aids. This product is pricey, but it seems to be a better overall hearing aid compared to the all-in-ear aids I've tried in the same price range. Certainly worth consideration. ... show more

    • These Work Great For My Wife.
I'm not going to do a highly technical review of these because the Amazon listing does a good job of explaining all that and I couldn't explain it anyway. My wife has fairly significant mid-range hearing loss due to years of class-room noise of small children. She has a hard time hearing regular conversation and picking up the dialog in movies and TV. Regular sounds across the room are just not heard. We have tried several hearing aids and amplifiers. None of them worked very well and a couple were just awful. Absolutely made the problem worse than not hearing. These are far, far superior to any we've tried, she really likes them and is very happy to have found them. I had my usual problem of getting the app loaded and settings figured out but just normal stuff for me. Once it was all loaded everything was fine and easy to use. The hearing test in conjunction with the app was very easy and very good and matched the results she received from the test at the school she used to work at. The 4 different modes were good. All adjusted the sound to what they were for but we didn't try the tinnitus mode because that isn't our issue. The automatic setting based on the hearing test is what we used and it's great but it also worked to self-adjust the volume setting on the app. The actual hearing aids are comfortable for her to wear. She can wear them for hours before she feels any discomfort. She is getting a little bit accustomed to having all the normal noises she wasn't hearing before but these are so much better than others she tried that hurt her ears from normal driving, wind, and people noises. The little storage/charging case is excellent. Stick them in and they automatically recharge. The case is recharged by normal USB-C charge cord, but not needed very often. Now, here's the main point of this review: She can hear so, so much better in everyday situations. I am not talking in a loud, pronounced voice all the time. I have been talking in a low, quiet voice all the time as a test and she hears me perfectly every time. It makes life better for both of us. Just as important, she talks in a much lower, calmer voice in regular conversation. Much more pleasant. This apparently is a new model of an established company. I found very good videos on U Tube that had great things to say about this company so I was confident going in we had a good brand. This has been a definite life changer for us. These work very well at an affordable price. We highly recommend them. ... show more
