    • Huge Bang for the Buck!
The only assembly requires attaching covers on the circuit board for isolation and structural rigidity. The screws are tiny so it was a bonus the seller provided an extra screw. Yes, I dropped one but found it two days later. The first amplifier I purchased had a dead right channel. I contacted the seller and within very few days had a replacement. (Intentionally I didn't inspect the circuit board for obvious signs of "cold" solder joints or visible damage.) This amplifier has amazingly good sound for the price. In my case, I use it to power a portable announcing system so did not require concert hall fidelity. It cannot be compared to my Bose portable amplifier, and to do so, would be unfair. I used an off-the-shelf pre-amplifier chip to provide a Mic -In modification to the AUX port. It works great. Highly recommended! ... show more

Works as advertised. Replaced whole house amp with this amp. 10 eight ohm speakers no problem. As loud as needed.

    • Missing one key feature on others: High-pass filter for main channels. Great if you don't need it.
A *proper* 2.1 setup lightens the load on the main speakers by using a high-pass filter. Relieved of the duty of producing bass, they can play more clearly and louder. Other examples of this exact amplifier include a single capacitor in the signal path of each channel just before the main amp that acts as a 6db/octave filter with 3db down point at 150hz. You can switch this filter in/out with a tiny slide switch located between 2 of the knobs. Without the filter, fed only 15VDC, this amp is overwhelmed and shuts-down before reaching an acceptable listening level driving a pair of 3in + ribbon 2-ways with passive crossovers. It sounded terrible at high volume too. With a 150hz HPF implemented at the source (EQ in the playback app) the setup sounded wonderful, detailed, and could be cranked-up *much* louder. If you plan to run a subwoofer anyway, save yourself the heartache and choose a model *with* this critical filter. I like this amp enough to keep it, but for another project... I had to order another amp to complete my project. It costs a bit more, is notably uglier (no decorative top or bottom PCB layers, no fancy power input jack) but proper sound is the goal here, and that HPF is critical to achieving it with a 2.1 setup. ... show more

    • Did the job on a retrofit
Retrofit an old Bose Subwoofer for 12V operation. It did the trick and now I have nice bass. This thing is not going to shake the trees, but it does fill out the low end audio spectrum at a low price point. No comment yet on how long it will hold up, but so far I am very satisfied.

Easy to build, sounds great and is a great value. I paired it with iPhone blu tooth easily. Does not have any fancy features but then has a price to match. Only negative is that turning the volume control to off is really like a standby ... my iphone still connects to it and thinks it is sending audio there but in reality it's not. I had to put amp together which was kinda cool and I an able to run a couple speakers and 1 small sub off of this amp inside my home. Has a hook up for a cord or battery hook up. Does not have a remote or way to change music, which kinda sucks. I really wish it would have had a remote , thier is no knob to change songs , sadly. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The thing never worked. Bad enough you got to put it together(with tiny screws, standoffs). Thank goodness I had the sense to put a insulator between the bottom plate, and circuit board(there's another review about it sparking, etc..). Turning it on, it cut out TV sound, with no sound from it( only way I could get sound again was to unplug it, even turning it off, by volume wouldn't turn sound back on). My TV found the bt connection, alexa, no, not even showing up. The good thing is it cost as much as a cheap restaurant. Don't buy. ... show more
