  • AUTOMATIC INFLATION: Bluestorm Atmos 40 Inflatable Life Jacket will automatically inflate if you fall in the water unexpectedly. It will also inflate manually by grasping the inflation pull tab and pulling sharply downward. To inflate orally, access the inflation tube by opening the top portion of the cover, remove the dust cap, and blow air into the tube until the inflatable is firm.

This is my first vest of this style. The life vest fits fine. It is a little annoying around the neck but I expect this to go away after being worn a while. There are a three comments: First - I found no directions to initially arm the vest. A yellow notice comes inside the box that states the unit is not armed and to follow the owners manual. There is a statement on the inside of the booklet cover that tells you the location of the spare/ new cylinder. It is on the opposite side of the pull tab. I just followed the rearming instructions. Second - The d-ring is half way up vest. This places it on my chest. The kill switch lanyard now comes up the throttle handle when connected. Very annoying and possibly cause engine shut down since I just replaced the lanyard. There is a lot of tension on the lanyard. I will install a d-ring on the belt of appliance Third - The owners manual states to buy two rearming kits. One to test it in water and rearm. The other as a spare. Overall, the vest is well made and appears to be a good value. But be advised that vests of this type (any brand) are not returnable due to hazardous materiel transport rules. My bad for not reading the fine print. The top of the vest that runs behind your head is bulkier than other examples i've worn and limits your head movement to the point of being uncomfortable. I reccomend you buy any vest directly from a marine store where you can try it on before buying. ... show more
