The media could not be loaded. Works exactly as described. Super easy to setup. No more checking ph multiple times a day. It’s set it and forget it. Just calibrate when it says to. This item improved my quality of life. It just works. I dump in fresh RO water into the reservoir and the Bluelab ph controller fixes the ph within the hour. Growers, stop wondering if it works. It does. It’s worth the price. Green light doesn’t hurt plants in a dark cycle. I’ve got my system dialed in to 5.8 and that’s where it stays. Love it. ... show more

I seldom give 5 stars. I gave 'accuracy' 4, b/c I have no way to verify the accuracy, but my plants are thriving like never before when I was trying to manage our hard water manually. Do follow the instructions for monthly probe maintenance (clean, rehydrate, calibrate), and you should get years of service from this simple well designed device. At worst, you may eventually need to replace the pH probe, at considerably less than the cost of a new pH pen device, which is essentially a disposable item (my Blue Lab pen was useless by my third season with it). ... show more

The reading differs a little from a blue labs ph pen so it's kind of hard to tell what one is right. They are usually pretty close to where it's not a huge deal. The sticky suction cup thing that holds the ph probe to the side of the reservoir never stays stuck. Also note that the dosing pump is on a timing cycle and DOES NOT dose based on what your ph is. 4 stars because it reads my ph 90% of the time and the other 10%, I just refer to the trouble shooting guide and do what it says. I simply can't express how well this works. I never realized how much time I spent measuring and messing with PH levels. It seemed expensive, but its functionality is priceless. I highly recommend this unit. I would never be without one again.

Hands down, the best 290 somod dollars i have ever spent. setup is super easy, calibration is super easy. I only had to open the manual to figure out which port was inlet and outlet (the left is inlet by the way). If you are dosing pH by hand, just stop.... stop now, and buy this. This product feels well built, no weird / sharp burs from cheap molding, the buttons have a good bit of resistance to them, the display is bright and crisp. My only minor complaint is it would be nice to have a longer wire on the probe and thermistor, but that is a trivial issue. 3 second dose every 2 minutes and my res was dialed in perfectly in just a few minutes. my only issue now is what to do with all the newly found free time i previously wasted meticulously measuring and adjusting pH.... ... show more

Ordered one, was missing a vital component.... The PH probe/meter, which renders this "PH Controller/Monitor" completely useless... I contacted Amazon and surprisingly they send me an entire new set free of charge, opened it today and no PH probe..... So now I either pay for $60 a probe or return everything to Amazon..... The basically useless ATC temperature probe was in there so there's that.... Definitely Bluelab's fault, not Amazon's... ... show more

Definitely makes things easier. Can leave my plants for a couple days and feel safe doing it. For the price I feel like having 2 pumps, 1 for up and 1 for down would be a thing.. but its good for what it is. Good buy.
