The look of this product is sleek - it doesn’t look obnoxious or out of place like some others may. The spandex like material that acts as a pre filter and comes in different colors helps complement the decor of my room too. I got this product for my 1 bedroom loft style apartment that’s about 950 sq/ft; I had been having a severe dust accumulation problem that I couldn’t get under control. Even after having he HVAC ducts steam cleaned, and installing a high performance filter in the furnace, I still had way too much dust. My doctor has a similar unit in their waiting room, so thats how I first learned of the blue product line. After some research and reading reviews I decided to find one for me! The 2 pack allowed me to put one in my bedroom and the other in the kitchen/living room area. I leave both units on the low speed all the time, and the noise level isn’t very noticeable (the refrigerator compressor is louder than these). On the first day I had gotten the units I let them run on high as I did my usual cleaning and laundry. To my surprise, the dust accumulation has decreased dramatically. User friendly, looks great, does an incredible, quiet… Filters somewhat expensive thought last a long duration. Then there are the washable filters (one blue and one black) which go around the exterior, protect the interior filter. Quite simple to put together. A high quality product which does a high quality job every time. My wife bakes fish, after mere moments you couldn’t tell. I bought the two package set and am glad I did. *BE NOTIFIED…keep tracking delivery updates, the Amazon delivery driver took no pride or had no skill in caring for customer’s best interests. He carried the box to my home and just dropped it instead of carefully putting it down. I could hear the crash of the box from inside my home. Try to be there when you see the Amazon truck pull up and let the delivery driver see you’re home to accept the delivery. ... show more

I have stage four lung cancer and have been coughing so badly in our home. It was miserable. We ordered three Blueair for each level. The first one went in our bedroom on the top floor. Within minutes it literally felt like I was breathing from pure oxygen. It cleaned the air so quickly and completely that I barely cough. This was one of the best investments we’ve ever made for my health. I would like to have one more eventually. We have a three level house. One unit cleaned one level completely.     • So far, so good as long as it's on high...
...my first review was never published here because I ordered the two-pack and only received ONE and posted I had issues with customer service (Amazon) in resolving the matter. But, after 3 weeks of operation of the ONE I actually received, at first, I was immediately impressed with the nearly immediate change in air quality. The air smelled very fresh for the first several days or so. Blue Air recommends you run the unit on high setting for the first 24/48 hours, which I did. After that, I turned it to the more quiet, medium setting, and it didn't work well at all at getting rid of the odors (I have two small dogs) so I turned it back to high and it seems to be working to control the odors and dust again. I'm amazed at the amount of dust & hair particles that accumulated after just less than a week's worth of use! The unit is a bit noisier on high, but it's like a soothing white noise to me so it's not bothersome at all. Evidently, I'll have to run on high. Will update in another month or so. ... show more

Pretty happy so far, let me pass on some wisdom and save you some time on researching, as my air purification credentials are getting knee deep. Previous purchases in order of $$$: IqAir, Rabbit, Air Mega 400 (lol), Sharp Plasmacluster and the inexpensive Winix (run), and of course I've built my own, or assembled I should say.. Anyways, the reasons I bought this unit: CADR - outperforms other similar priced air purifiers, the sq ft rating doesn't mean anything (FYI noobs) it's all about CADR baby. The style: this thing is a trendy little purifier.. I LOVE the sacred geometry featured on the clean fan output, sooo psychedelic. Food for thought, do you want an ugly eye sore all day for instance a classic tan Honeywell that was designed in the freakin 90's? sure you'll save $100 now but you'll just cringe in dissapointment and feel immediate regret that your cheap a_s didn't spend a few dollars more on a Blue Air.. Seriously, once you pull this baby out of the box, you'll instantly transcend to "the guy with the cool air purifier". 30 year old virgin? Say no more.. blue air will do all the work for ya. I should also mention that prior to purchasing this purifier, I did come across some harsh criticism regarding a "chemical odor" clearly You guys haven't used a real carbon filter before.. as the odor emitting from this purifier just screams "charcoal". In other words, do not worry - the smell is from the inner layer of charcoal, definitely not a chemical off-gas problem.. let me elaborate.. Most companies do the following configuration: air intake -> carbon filter -> hepa -> exhaust, whereas Blue Air units are intake -> hepa -> carbon filter -> exhaust. Blue Air did the right thing by placing the carbon filter on the inner layer of the Hepa filter, it's merely on the inside, to effectively extend the life of the carbon media, your odor control.. Had it been on the outside of the Hepa filter.. then slowly but surely, dusty air would accumulate and completely cover the surface of the carbon therefore rendering it ineffective at elimating odors; carbon filters can only do their job if the odor molecules can make contact with the carbon media, and they can't do that if they're covered in dust now, can they? Absolutely not..Blue Air is effectively extending the life of the carbon filter as only clean, filtered air is passing through the carbon layer (odor molecules are smaller than dust particulates).
