Like the title says, this firepit is a great upgrade for my urban backyard. I have burned 3 long fires with it at the time of this review. Here are some of the highlights: 1. Easy set up - took roughly 30 minutes from start to finish to set up, only tools required are a screwdriver and wrench. 2. Nice looking - nice matte finish to the black paint and a cool uncommon square shape. 3. Smokeless - once flame is established, there is no smoke…this is keeps my jumpy dogs and everyone sitting around the fire happy. 4. Easy clean up - the removeable ash catcher make clean up much easier and less messy than my old standard firepit. 5. Perfect size - perfect for urban backyard. Not too big, but not too small…could easily be thrown into the trunk of my hatchback and carted around to friends/families backyards for gatherings. ... show more

We’ve had this fire pit for about a month now, and have used it a total of six times. It’s very sturdy and was pretty easy to put together. It’s the perfect size, and does contain most of the smoke, which is really great. The only downside is the appearance of it after a few fires. It looks like we’ve had it for years, when really it’s only been a month. I hope it doesn’t get worse over time, but I fear it will. I would still recommend it, as most fire pits are dirty. I was just disappointed at how quickly it went from beautifully new to worn and tarnished looking. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. (Update 02--08-2022 On first use, this thing was great. I had seven granchildren over. They sat in chairs around it on our front porch's concrete floor and it was up and running within two minutes with a few six-inch sections of 2x4 for kindling, a few pieces of Amazon packing paper and a couple egg cartons. Within two minutes we had a fire going. The picture was taken within two minutes of starting the fire and though the logs aren't yet engulfed, they're already burning. FUN. We made smores and I read to them while they roasted their marshmallows. I would probably start this fifteen minutes earlier, rather than immediately upon the kids arriving to have better coals. Lots of burned marshmallows--and lots of fun. I haven't had this in the weather much, but first use makes me really happy to have it.) This is a cool fire pit: attractive, large and easy to assemble. I'm fairly impressed. I got it through Amazon's Vine Program which grants the reviewer a free item in return for a review, so I've not done any comparison shopping and I can't compare the value of this versus other similar fire pits, but I am quite positive toward this pit initially. I've mentioned several positives, but I'll elaborate. The fire pit comes unassembled. Assembly is easy--a simple matter of putting twelve screws and nuts through the panels and tightening them. Holes in the panels were easy to align. No extra screws or nuts were in the bag, but the right number was included. I like the square shape of this fire pit. My suspicion is that designing it as a square allows it to be broken down into panels and shipped more easily and at less cost. It also, I think, allows a larger overall fire pit than if it had to be shipped assembled. I was worried after ordering this that a 22-inch fire pit would be rather small. Not at all. This thing is a really useful size and thoroughly large enough. Now the potential negatives. The panels are hollow with heavier gauge metal on the inside where the panels will contain the fire. On the outside, the panels are thinner and easily bent. One of the side panels arrived with a foot on one side bent an inch out of shape. I was easily able to bend it back into shape by hand, which was both a positive and a negative.... Once the panels are bolted together the feet are much more rigid. Still, I fear that the overall unit is larger and lighter because it is able to be disassembled, but also weaker and not as durable, especially if you intend to move it often. The second potential negative, only a question really, is whether the number of seams in this unit will diminish its burning efficiency. I have a friend who has a round stainless fire pit, and all the air comes from underneath through the flames. This has ungasketed seams on all four corners that could let air in. I doubt it will be a problem, but I thought I would mention it. The third potential negative is the possibility of rust eventually working through the metal. I don't know how the metal will hold up to the elements and I don't want to move it a great deal because of the lack of absolutely rigid sides and feet. This will just have to become evident over time and I probably won't be able to return and update on this. My friend's fire pit is made of stainless, so rust is not an issue for him. Finally, I will return once I've been able to use this for a while. I love its looks and I think it's going to prove a nice addition to our back yard, but it's raining today and there was snow when I got this, so I'm posting a review without video of an actual fire. Package was undamaged. However, when unpacking three of the panels had dents cause from the factory. This should have been found prior to a d during the packing of the panels. This was a gift too my wife and very disappointed and the amount of money Inpaid for the fire pit.
