1 December 2025 BO 2K+ continues to meet my needs for good visibility in low light areas. The camera is holding up really well for the few days we received snow and it has maintained connection to the sync module and my WiFi. I haven't seen any fogginess on the lens since my last update, so I like how it's held up so far with the cold weather. While the area I have doesn't have a lot of motion going through, there were a few instances it picked up some deer running by and it captured that moment flawlessly. What I want to explore next is the battery extension, as it is also compatible from the BO4 cameras. The quality of the video is also great, as when you're adjusting them, the LOWEST quality setting is "Saver" and is listed as HD video quality, so, in theory you can save more battery for those crucial moments that need recording. When pairing this with the newest sync module, and for those using the subscription for the additional detection features, I foresee the battery lasting much longer that previous generation of cameras. At this time, I have not changed the batteries for this camera that came with it, so I will continue to update this review over time. 1 November 2025 My understanding and experimenting so far is if you're NOT using (aka turn off the feature) the Night Vision feature on these cameras, IN LOW LIGHT areas, you will be able to see footage in color, with the enhancements made in BO 2K+. I can confirm this as I have one side of my house that is significantly darker at night and is pointed at my shed, and compared to the regular Blink Outdoor 4 camera, there is improvements where I can see the color of my shed very clearly in BO 2K+ vice BO4. I've set my 2K+ camera to the lowest video quality and I'm impressed on how detailed the video is. It's held up well for the few days that have snowed and dropped in temperature, so it's definitely an improvement to BO4! 30 October 2025 I just got the 3-pack with Sync Module Core today, and I am very pleased with the packaging! It has outline images on each box to tell you what the item is. From previous version, we all got the white boxes, and we had to figure out which is which. So, this is a significant improvement! The set up is extremely easy as you have a quick set of instruction underneath the lid when you open the box, and you have a paper version of the Quick Start guide! The thing I like the most is that the mount for these cameras are the same for the Blink Outdoor 4 version, so switching my current setup to the BO 2K+ was quick! During the camera setup, it did prompt you whether you want performance or battery saver, and during this you can skip that and setup later. I found that this correlates with the Video Quality settings from the Video and Photo settings in the Blink app. So far, I set the Video Quality for Saver mode, so we’ll see how it performs in the part of my yard that is completely dark. The camera itself feels slightly heavier than the Blink Outdoor 4, but does not impact my review. The biggest thing I was curious about was the newer sync module it came with, claiming to improve battery life. Not sure if it’s only for the 2K+ cameras, or for other generation of cameras too. This sync module is about half the size of the Blink Sync Module XR, and does NOT have local storage. I’ve been using the subscription plan that Blink offers for some time now, and I’ve been pleased with the cloud storage. Overall, right out of the box, I am very pleased and excited to see how it performs through this winter. Will continue to update this review as we continue this journey!

Update: Last night (from 9pm until 7am) the camera fogged up badly and was totally out of focus due to condensation on lenses (at outside Temp slightly above freezing). Neither my Blink door bell no the other non-Blink camera showed any signs of fogging up. This is big fail in my book - a security camera out of commission all night. Also, on a couple of occasions motion notifications arrived with a 5-min delay. Good: - decent image quality - relatively quick notifications (not instantaneous, however, as with wire-powered WIFI or PoE cameras, and take 2-5 sec to pop up). Also, there is a 3-6 sec connection lag in bringing up live image streaming, so you are looking at 6-12 sec delay (total) before you can react to live events (however, you will be able to see them as recorded events) - motion detection is pretty good (but keep in mind that if you want to detect motion farther away, e.g. on your from yard lawn, you will need to aim the camera higher and almost straight to frame the motion detection area withing the lower half of the image - this is not explained clearly by Blink and I waisted my time on figuring this out) - night color vision seems to be working for me - very easy to set up - stable wifi connection (so far) - Alexa friendly Not so good: - no local storage (as expected for a subscription cloud storage camera) - camera's speaker is small and not loud enough. You can barely hear it from 10 feet away even if you crank the volume to its highest setting - events are detected but there is no built-in alarm/siren or alarm lights (you only get a notification on your cell phone) - videos recording triggered by motion detection have no timestamps/watermarks/geolocation info (not even as metadata). Why would anyone call it "a security camera" is beyond me. - you cannot control your camera in a browser and there is no dedicated PC application - you may need a rain hood for this camera

The night vision and video quality are so much better than the OG models! WiFi signal seems unchanged as is battery life, and lag time seems to be reduced. These seem to work much better all around, including the two way audio which we sometimes use to summon the stray kitty we feed. The app interface is so intuitive, I love that it’s not difficult to navigate as I spend a lot of time reviewing clips to check to see if it’s the kitty! I only wish they’d add an AI pet/person face recognition feature so I could only be alerted if I saw kitty on cam, but I’m happy nonetheless!

Have been using blink setup with doorbell and 2 outdoor cams for several years. Honestly not sure exactly when I bought them but I want to say 5 years or so now? I’ve only had to change the batteries every year and half or so on the doorbell, and my other cameras have little enough activity to last the 2 years easily. These were a huge upgrade, especially the base station. They connect notably quicker now with the new base station, and the object identification feature is pretty nice to pay a bit more attention if it’s a person or car vs a mouse or raccoon etc. Daytime images are shockingly clear, and low light images are much better, though not quite as good as I’d hoped. My previous base station had micro USB, and an additional full size usb A port for external storage (a nice feature that isn’t included with the new one, I’m sure to sell subscriptions, though I never personally used it anyway) if that helps in identifying it to anyone wondering if an upgrade is worthwhile. I got the cameras at the same time. Well worth the upgrade from that older hardware for sure, can’t speak to any of the newer generations. I did chose the higher quality options during setup so time will tell how this affects battery life. If it is dramatically worse I’ll try to remember to update this.
