I've had blink cameras for years now. Their latest versions are cool and easy to set up. I just installed 2 ARC sets and the set of 5 NEW Blink cameras in 1 Arc in front of my home and one in the alley behind. Really cool Panoramic views. The update is coming for these and with it you'll see a single video instead of two separate ones. Theese are a vast improvement from the older Blink cameras. I replace 5 of my outdoor ones and moved the older ones to cover different areas where I didn't have cameras before. The ARC ones are picking up lots of wildlife around my house. The alley is like a freeway LOL Rabbits, Cats, Mice, and even a SKUNK!!!! I Highly recommend this product ;) Great quality, Works flawlessly, Great Value, Easy to connect to an existing system. I did get their membership as well.

If you've owned and used the Blink Mini 2 you already know what to expect. They have all the same functionality as the Blink Mini 2 and seamlessly replace those lower resolution cameras if you have any. However, there's is a pro and a con. Pro: Moderately increased resolution that allows you to zoom in a little bit while retaining the picture quality. Con: Grainy picture in low light conditions without using IR.. This wasn't the case with the Blink Mini 2. Overall, if you have any Blink Mini 2s and are considering upgrading them, I would say it depends on the area that your camera is covering, and whether or not you're covering an area too big or too far to use IR (for example the property or street in front of your house). In those cases the added resolution is nice for better identifying people and vehicles etc., but it's not a massive difference, and if you're relying on the street lights at night you'll notice a grainy picture in the areas that aren't well lit. If you're using existing Blink Mini 2s for an up close area, say within 15ft of the camera, I wouldn't bother upgrading those cameras. The nice thing about these cameras is that they're EXACTLY the same size as their predecessor, so they will fit nicely in any mounts you've already bought for them.

Horrible upgrade! It claims to have color night vision, and that is untrue. It is an outright lie and false advertising. The picture quality is marginally improved but now needing a 6 Mbps upload PER ONE camera, just fyi most houses operate 35 to 50 Mbps upload on average in the US. I must admit the only improvement I could notice was the audio was able to do some sound isolation via noise distortion cancellation. It also will not record your clips to local storage so you have to have a subscription in order to use majority of all of its perks and services, to include viewing your clips apparently. I spent about an hour on the phone with Blink technical support specialist with them being absolutely baffled as to what the problem is, just to have them quite literally recommend for me to return the new 2K+ mini and stick with all the other cameras I currently have operational. I see this new camera rollout as just being another money grab for the most part. With submarginal improvements on top of that, I would stay away until Amazon has Blink, rectify the situation, but I highly doubt that day to ever come. I recommend saving up your money and setting up a CCTV system that can’t be hacked into, amongst a myriad of other issues!!!
