I love these lights, they connect to and I can control them with my phone, both at the same time. They come with tons of presets and I can't even describe how bright these get. Even with the diffuser I can't in good conscious tell anyone to look directly at them at full brightness, THEY ARE NICE AND BRIGHT. My only complaint was how they got to me, the first arrived fine and the second one had to arrive late. I'm ok with the other arriving late, the nice lady told me via email what was going on and kept me updated constantly and had a really nice attitude about the whole thing. When the second light arrived the box was bent and ripped, making me think this was opened already not "new" as advertised or the mail people mishandled it. I really don't think it was the fault of the buyer though. Luckily the light was just fine, no damage and it looked like no one had used it and all the features worked just like the pristine one. ... show more

The Aputure Amaran MC RGBWW Mini Light has been my go-to for portable lighting, especially when I need quick, bright lighting in various settings. I first saw this in a linus tech tips video when he was building a pc and I knew I needed it. The magnetic back makes it easy to stick onto metal surfaces, perfect for when I’m on the move and need hands-free lighting. Stop reading and just buy this. It’s cheap, extremely versatile, powerful, small and has great battery life. For general subject lighting with the diffusion wrap it’s got nice soft dimensional light in 5600k-3200k. Full RGB for any other sort of specialty or theatrical lighting. The remote control via Sidus Link app is great too. I love using the FX like lightning, police lights and flickering light bulb. You can’t beat all the features in this little light for the price. I’ve shot backstage concert footage using this light and it’s lasted the entire show and I’ve rarely needed to turn it up past 75% at f/2.8 in a really dark backstage environment.
