I was trying to figure out how to mount a new Blink doorbell when I discovered this item. This mount is very sturdy and strong and is made of metal, and it simply clamps down on the door to hold the doorbell! This is a perfect solution for situations where you cannot tamper with the door frame. The metal frame, adjustable bolt, and rubber non-slip pads make for a very stable mount. The screw holes in the bracket are a perfect fit for the Blink second generation doorbell. Unfortunately, screws to attach the doorbell to the bracket were not included with this item. The screw holes are M3 size. Additionally, the all-metal construction (especially when mounted to metal doors) hurts the functionality of the doorbell as it reduces the wireless range. Be sure to have your wireless router close to the door you want to mount this to. To mount the Blink doorbell, you will need to provide two M3 bolts that are about 8mm long. The bolts need to have a wide head or a washer for a secure fit. This is a very common size though, so they should be easy to find!

The blink doorbell mount requires holes to be drilled in the door. Unfortunately, my door is metal and it’s not easy to drill holes in the door. So, I returned the product because I was not expecting to have to do so much to mount it.

I really like the concept of this. It seems like this would make sort of a portable mount for a doorbell, while still being secure, which is fantastic! And it definitely makes it not "easy to be steallde" (actual words on the pics for the item). I don't love the bulk and aesthetics (or lack thereof) it adds to the door, but it's worth it for the convenience!
