I measured these with my micrometer. They were .496” diameter. Many others being sold are only 12mm. They fit well in the door spring mechanism. Not loosely at all. The rubber grips were not coming off. Wish they were longer.

They advertise a painted red end to depict the left spring as you look at the springs from inside the garage..Well there is no red painted end on either spring. Instead, they painted the spring specs. along with either the letter "L" painted on it and the other with the letter "R". Assuming LEFT and RIGHT as you look at the springs from inside the garage...... WRONG, they were mislabeled causing a lot of head scratching and duplicate effort because they were mounted backwards. Look at the way your springs are wound, compare to the ones you take off before determining left or right..........Otherwise they are fine.
