    • Take it from a former manager of Smoothie King - this blender is top tier.
I used to manage a Smoothie King. After that, I worked in another juice bar/smoothie business. Those were high school/college jobs, but I still got a ton of experience with smoothie making and use of top tier, commercial blenders. I though Vitamix was the end all be all of blenders. Screw Ninja with all the blades, a Vitamix can pulverize and powderize anything you throw at it with the two small blades at the bottom. Flash forward to my first apartment after college - I had my eyes on a Vitamix but spending $3-400 just to make smoothies made absolutely zero sense financially. I was complaining about the Vitamix price tag to a friend of mine amidst a night of heavy drinking, and he asked me why I didn't just get a Ninja. I told him I thought Ninja's were dumb and gimmicky, and that nothing compares to a Vitamix. He then asked if I'd ever heard of a youtube channel called "Will It Blend?". I told him I hadn't, he quickly pulled it up, and after watching this blender turn an iPad into powder, I knew I'd found what I was looking for. Vitamix power at half the price. You cannot go wrong with this thing. It's absurdly easy to use, absurdly easy to clean, attractive to look at, and seriously just as good as any of the commercial Vitamix's I used at Smoothie King.     • An Awesome Killer Blender! Perfect for smoothies!
This machine is an amazing “blender”- it makes totally smooth smoothies in one minute and with the correct amount of liquid will blend or cream any other concoction in a matter of minutes. It is loud but that’s the powerful motor and well designed blades at work. The container and top are very sturdy and well designed and extremely easy to clean. It has a sturdy industrial cord and plug and off switch to preserve the motor. I’ve had it for a couple of months now, use it twice daily with liquids, powders, solids, ice and frozen items and it works like a charm! And it’s a US company and I believe it’s made in country. My old Vitamix pales by comparison Blendtec gets 5 stars from me! 👍👍👍👍👍 ... show more

It was so worth investing a little extra in a more powerful, better-built blender. This thing is hands down amazing. I got this for the family for Christmas, and we are so happy with it. We've been through so many blenders and this is the best ever. A couple of friends recommended BlendTec and so we decided it was worth the investment and we were not wrong. Wow. Smoothies so smooth, nothing can stop this thing! Great features. I love the big blending cup. And the spoonula is very helpful to get everything out of the blender afterwards.     • Great blender for smoothies!
This is a great blender for making smoothies! It’s probably amazing for many other purposes, but I bought it for making protein smoothies and so far I love it. It’s easy to use with a preset smoothie button, and it cleans up very quickly. I’ve ground rolled oats into flour in it, as well as ice, nuts, frozen fruit, and greens. It has made short work of all of these items. It doesn’t get ridiculously loud like my previous blender either. It’s a blender, so it makes some noise obviously, but nothing you feel like you need ear protection for and it blends so quickly, it’s over in a flash. It’s a keeper! ... show more

It blends amazingly well and for the price I got it for I am very happy. Compared to the entry level Vitamix I had though it doesn't do quite as well with the seeds from berries and such. Still, it's way easier to clean, and almost half the price so I'm happy with it.

    • I almost didn't buy this blender
I was hesitant to buy this blender because of the plastic blender jar. I've always has glass in the past. I also had never heard of Blendtec brand. I love this blender because: 1. The design of the square blender jar, plus the unique scraper that comes with it, makes it very easy to get everything out of the blender. 2. The lid fits firmly in place and prevents leaks 3. The base is solid. No jumping around when blender is on high. 4. It is super easy to clean with the cleaning program but also easily rinses clean. 5. The milkshake program. Love, love, love! I use it for my protein shakes and it's great. 6. The drive and blades are metal. Super easy to seat the blender onto the base. 7. Did I mention the milkshake program? ... show more

I am so pleased with both the price point and the quality of this blender. Blendtec surpasses in quality and ease of use. Most of all...the amazing self cleaning feature is sooooo nice! I have enjoyed more healthy juicing choices and soups since I purchased this and believe it or not, I lost weight because I turn to my Blendtec for lovely smoothies. I also find myself with lower cholesterol! I think adding celery and parsley (blended twice) really improved my skin! You won't be disappointed! Give it a whirl! ... show more

    • Definitely better than the other brand.
Last week I bought a Vitamix very expensive blender about twice the price of this Blendtec and boy was I disappointed. I used the Vitamix to make Nice Cream and it smelled like burning rubber and shut off. I even contacted Vitamix and they said they are designed to turn off if they get too hot. Well it was only blending for less than a minute. If it can't handle that then they shouldn't even be making blenders. Anyway so the same night I decided to buy this Blendtec. I received it today and did the exact same Nice Cream recipe and it worked perfect. Didn't smell like it was burning up and didn't struggle at all. I'm starting to wonder if all these Vitamix videos and reviews are paid for. I highly recommend disregarding all the Vitamix hype and instead purchase a Blendtec model. ... show more
