NOT as thick as advertised. Slumps on the futon frame, doesn't stay up on back when in seated position. Can feel the frame bars when sitting. Overall, not worth the money.

If I was allowed to give this product 0 stars I would. I guess it will end up being used as a mattress for camping because this mattress is very thin, floppy and not sturdy. You get what you pay for. Lol. Invest the extra hundred bucks and buy a better pad for your futon. It literally flops and sags down like an old turd, and doesn't even stay upright. It is horribly thin, do yourself a favor and use a cardboard box instead, it will 100 percent give you more support!! Enjoy! ... show more

We bought this mattress for our outdoor swing. It is very comfortable and is perfect for it. However, it smells awful, almost like petroleum. Since it is a good quality mattress we don't leave it outside and store it in a spare room. The smell permeates that room and the things in it. I had my futon for 10 years, my cat decided to use it as a litter box after a guest... I bought this mattress to replace it and it is more comfortable than the mattress the frame came with!!! And kitty doesn’t seem to want pee on it (2 guests later) so WIN for this mattress in my mind!!! Especially for the price!!! I bought this to replace my futon mattress. I do have a metal frame futon, but I thought this would be cushy enough to replace the other mattress. The color is nice, but that's where the positive stops. It never plumped up after taking it out of the package and letting it fluff for 2 days before sitting on it. It is maybe 3" thick, again, after letting it sit to gain true form after taking it out of vacuum-sealed package. It is not comfortable AT ALL to sit on. You can feel the metal bars of the futon frame when sitting. I wouldn't buy this again or recommend it to metal-frame futon owners. This may be ok on the wooden frame ones. ... show more

I was thrilled to find a wide variety of colors. I need this for a porch sofa outdoors. Squirrels chewed on the original, and this one is a great replacement. It's as thick as a chaise lounge cushion, not really a mattress, but comfortable enough to be used as one.
