Description

The Blazer PB207 butane refillable torch lighter is a micro torch pocket lighter. It is used for pipes, cigars, and cigarette-lighting.The PB207 features a side-panel locking switch to lock the flame on for constant use. It comes with a flexible, detachable stand for hands-free, continuous use. It has a clear view of the fuel chamber at its base. The micro torch houses a piezoelectric ignition system, which is based on a pressurized molecular reaction and requires no electrical connection. Piezoelectric energy occurs when the trigger is activated, releasing a small, spring-loaded internal hammer that strikes a crystal, producing a spark and resulting in gas flame ignition. With a maximum flame temperature of 2,500 degrees F, the PB207 has a continuous burn time of approximately 20 minutes, at maximum fuel volume, and has a 3.0-gram gas capacity. It produces a wind-resistant, blue torch flame with a range of 0.75 to 2.0 inches. It measures 3.0 (l) x 1.25 (w) x 0.75 (d) inches and weighs 1.2 ounces. The lighter features a safety cap, attached by a silver-colored chain.Since 1985, Blazer Products has created an array of professional and industrial tools and equipment. Located in Farmingdale, NY, the company manufactures a variety of micro torches and ultrasonic cleaners. Blazer Products is known worldwide for its original micro torch products. The PB207 lighter operates with a standard butane canister (not included).

  • Best lighter there is!
Over a lifetime, I have owned more different lighters (at least 50)than I can count...from expensive Dunhils and DuPonts to Vectors to Colibris to etc, etc. Typical problems for these lighters are: Difficult to fill, hard to tell if they are full, insufficient resevoirs, electronic igniters that prematurely fail and lighters that fail to shut off, leaking butane. I am particularly hard on lighters using one at least 100 times per day or over 35,000 lights per year. The one and only lighter I have found that fills easy, has a large resevoir, and lights for virtually forever is this particular Blazer Micro Torch. Just got this one for the convenience of having one upstairs and one downstairs but I have had my old Blazer for five years which, for me, is over 180,000 uses!...and still it lights on the first or second strike. It's made in Japan and not China...maybe that helps. It has a blue flame,it's reasonably wind resistant and has a lock switch should you want it to stay continuously lit. It has a chain-attached cover which I tend to remove (the little chain is like a miniatuare dog-training collar which can be re-used for a parakeet or small mouse). This new model, unfortunately comes with child safety device on the starter button which I removed - as I have no children at home...just push the plastic peg out and remove the knurled wheel entirely or snip the little lever from the wheel that blocks the button's downward path, file it smooth and then replace it to maintain a more finished appearance. Granted it's not slick and slim to carry in your pocket but, as far as I know, it is the most dependable, long-lasting lighter available ... show more

  • Honestly I might love this lighter, If I actually got the right lighter.
Color: Graphite
I'm rating this low right now because I actually received an entirely different model. I received a Blazer CG-001 when I ordered this one and am not finding a way to contact Amazon about it. As far as the CG-001 goes, it seems reasonably well made; the plastic case feels sturdy for being plastic. The shape is comfortable in the hand and all that. It however is a bit of a letdown when it comes to the flame, for it to start reliably the flame has to be adjusted almost as high as it can be and it is definitely not wind resistant. If I manage to get this straightened out I'll rerate and rewrite this review, but as it stands, beware you may not get what you are ordering if you order this lighter. ... show more

  • Butane Gas Not Included!
It was not made clear in the product description on Amazon that gas was not included with the purchase of the lighter. You have to read through all the fine print where at the end it finally mentions that the butane canister is not included. Also, the flame locking lever seems locked in place and doesn't slide back and forth as expected. I resisted the temptation to force it. Perhaps it only slides to the lock position after you fill it with gas and light it. The minimal instructions provided with the torch don't explain why the locking lever might jam or whether there is a trick to make it work. Guess I'll have to investigate further after the gas arrives and I fire the unit up. If at that time the torch works perfectly, then I'll edit this and give the product its fifth star. Nothing worse than a low product evaluation that is not based on the product performance (i.e., giving it one star because it arrived a day late). 12Aug16: I just received the butane for this torch. It works like a charm. Very impressive. After the flame is lit, the locking lever can be slid to the right to lock the flame on so you can let go with your thumb and it stays lit. ... show more

  • Micro Torch Top Notch
My first Lighter was purchased about 8 years ago and it still works. I purchased my 3rd Micro Torch because I think these are solid and well worth the money. I gave my 2nd lighter to a young G.I. that went to Afghanistan. I have no doubt he will return with stories of this serving him for a variety of purposes. If I could afford to send each one in his outfit this lighter I would gladly send them with no reservation. This is a solid lighter and well worth the money. My first lighter eventually lost the screws but it still lights every time I use it. I have to hold it tight but the piezoelectric still sparks and the flame still lights hot blue. I would recommend this to anyone that needed a lighter to depend on. I don't care for the safety feature on the new ones because I have to show people how to use it every time they borrow it. However, I know how to use it and would still recommend it to anyone wanting a lighter that will last for years. Although it is not wind proof, it is wind resistant and it burns hot from day one to year 8. I have had more expensive lighters that get clogged jets or just plain quit, but not this one. Buy it and you won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • This company does not ship out the whole Blazer PB-207CR Package the item is not as described.
This review has nothing to do with the Clear Blazer PB-207CR Mini Torch Lighter. It is amongst the most reliable lighters in existence and I get full extractions using my DynaVap/Armored Cap Combo. The Perfect ABV. Love the cold lock and cap & chain. Unfortunately the Blazer PB-207CR does not stand straight when placed on a flat surface. So although I can say this is a genuine Blazer PB-207CR (Clear), the item is not complete without the base. Not only is the base perfect for keeping control of what you are heating extremely consistently, it is the perfect home base to place your Blazer so you do not lose this mini torch. Especially if it is clear. The seller stated on line two under “About this item” “Flexible, detachable rubber base, for hands-free, continuous use.” I used to work for eBay and that means the item is considered a SNAD. A “Significantly Not As Described Item.” This mean you can return the Blazer and the Seller HAS TO issue a refund in full. The Seller just knows that you got a relatively fair price on a a Blazer pocket torch known for its consistency, and they are betting that you will still be stoked on this Mini torch lighter even though it doesn’t come with the most important accessories that the seller states was apart of the purchase. When I asked the seller if it comes with the base as described in his/her listing, they actually admitted they are false advertising. I will but another one down the road that actually comes in Blazer packaging with all items it’s supposed to come with and isn’t just dropped into a bubbled envelope thinking they did you a favor. Supposedly WireJewlery is based out of Ogden UT so I suppose Ill give the seller some credit in getting it to me about 4 hours after I ordered it, which was impressive, but they DO understand how important the stand is for this mini torch, and I guarantee it has forced people to be happy about getting a genuine Blazer, but will be automatically disappointed when they receive the item without the accessories that were supposed to come with the Blazer. The lighter itself is 5 stars - 1 star 4 Stars. It would have been 5 for the product and the seller had they simply been straightforward. I only know one person who collects PB-207CR bases, and the is Austyn Simrell of Simrell Collections and he sells the base separately for $4.00. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are slanging the accessories by mass accumulating them and is going for the extra money instead of the top service you deserve. By this Lighter at AMCO instead. They sell it for 59.99 but comes in original packaging and base, that was supposed to come on my order according to this sellers description. ITS A TRAP! Obviously the price appeal is what draws people to their site, but the Blazer PB-207CR is missing and item and not as described expect that not to come. BUT, you can 100% return for a full refund no matter what sine this item is considered “Significantly Not As Described”, or “SNAD.” I worked for eBay as a claim adjudicator for years so I say this with confidence. Shop carefully always! Only reason its a two is the item was delivered next day. Item itself is 5 stars. The seller, however is more of 1 star but again, it basically teleported to me since I live in Ogden UT, so Ill give them a little credit. ... show more

  • Died after 7 months but the company fixed it
I loved this torch. I bought it based on some very strong recommendations and loved it while it lasted. But unfortunately, after 7 months of daily use, it stopped working. I wouldn't mind as much if it was half the price, but for this price, I expected it to last years. Update: I reached out to the company and they fixed it and covered the shipping. It’s working great again ... show more

  • Really Bummed!
This is the third Blazer Torch that I have owned. My first was bought in the mid 1990's and lasted at least 20 years, It went trough every abuse possible. But it was Mr. Reliable. It would light the first time no matter where I was. It is for my cigars so I have to smoke outdoors... on the beach by the pool where ever, it lit and stayed lit no matter what. I finally misplaced it and after a suitable period of grieving, I bought another. It was nearly worthless. Hard to light did not stay lit. So I tossed it! So I finally bought another this week, paid extra for second day delivery to arrive in time for my new Habanos... Filled it, tested it, then walked out side on the patio to light a cigar... clicked it... clicked it again... cupped my hand around it like a paper match and it lit. Took my cupped hand away. Blows out... What a piece of garbage. Their ads and literature that comes with the unit says Wind Proof... BS... I works worse than a paper match! Don't buy it, You can not return it... My loss. ... show more

  • One of the best lighters made today...
This type Blazer lighter is my all time favorite It lights every time and contrary to what some have said in reviews I have never had a problem lighting mine in the wind. The last a long time if taken care of. This model is a child resistant one (not necessarily my favorite) but still is easy to light. It has a maximum heat of 2500 degree and will burn for 20 minutes straight on a full tank of standard butane It has a cap attached to a silver chain that keeps dust out and your lighter working longer. The best part of this product is it comes with a one year warranty. If your lightewr quits for some reason send it in to blazer and they will repair/replace it free of charge. ... show more
