  • Excellent value for money!
Style: Version 1
Performs exceptionally well, my only complain is the lack of graduality from 0 volume to 1, which for my taste is too lound. there should be at least one notch in between

  • Didn't last long...
Style: Version 1
I use to love Blaupunkt car stereos, used them in many vehicles over the years. Sad to say this is the first one to totally mess up on me, I thought it was honestly my speakers but after testing everything and doing the research, I have found that mine is shot. When I turn it up the screen flickers and then the stereo shuts off and restarts. I followed all the protocols and by process of elimination have found that it has been the stereo. I thought maybe it had been the new Kickers auto replacements speakers that we installed, so I put a new set of Skar Audio 6.5 and 6x9 speakers in, same problems, followed the wiring and no loss there either. It all comes down to the NAPA65 that I installed, and for what it takes to install one in a 2011 Camaro, I am a bit upset, it is not an easy process at all. I am at the point of not recommending Blaupunkt anymore. I was so happy to get one and it failed me, sadly even though I bought it over a year ago, the stereo has only been in the car since October. Not even a full 6 months use out of it. Now I have to tear it all apart again and put a new stereo in. What was once my favorite stereo brand has now become a memory of the past. I got a Blaupunkt Amp for Christmas from my brother, because he thought it would be awesome to have a matched set, it never worked, it was fried in the box, but because it was over 30 days since he got it, there was no replacement for it. The moment it was hooked up it was dead, insta-pop inside and bad smells from it... Now I have a Skar Audio amp and it works perfectly. I am sorry but Blaupunkt for me is no longer an option. ... show more

  • Okay Blaupunkt model...not listed on company site? UPDATE!
Style: Version 1
After a year of use, I can say its a low end model, but does what its met to do. I replaced my '07 GMC Yukon stock radio w/this NAPA65. Funny thing, no matter how much searching I do I cant find this model on the Blaupunkt website for updates? It can be clunky at times, touchscreen freezes up especially during cold spells, under normal use sometimes the touch screen doesn't react to your touch or change screen. Can be frustrating! But the end of day I'm happy with the sound, it actually improved the sound quality and volume of the OEM installed since I only replaced the head unit and kept factory amps/power. Not fault of the unit itself, but I lost many steering wheel interfaces - the interface module does not function for rear entertainment controls, steering controls via interface module only gives me Volume up/down period. UPDATE: Piece of junk! just like other reviews have stated the head-unit randomly shuts off, knocks out Bluetooth connections and resets itself for no apparent reason?? I am so, so disappointed & irate!! ... show more

  • Great Value

So far so good. Really woke up the old factory speakers in my 09 Grand Marquis. Good value. I wish the screen would display the DVD while parked and not in motion, but I guess big brother thinks we are all a bunch of irresponsible children.

  • Lacking in audio quality
Style: Version 1
So, this thing only puts out 30-40 watts per channel. Kinda weak. Right about where it goes from slightly loud to fun you will get distortion on lows/highs/mids simultaneously. I would recommend a 4 channel amp if you are going to use this which is exactly what I basically had to do to get decent quality sound out of the deck. The deck has RCA 4 channel connectors +sub that are separate from the wired audio outputs which leads me to believe that this deck is meant to pair with a 4 or 5 channel amplifier. The touchscreen is properly responsive and doesn't take long to figure out, however the file viewer for USB and MicroSD are a pain if you are sorting through 100 different albums. Even albums that are mp3 sometimes won't read until you restart. Also, the radio will not be able to read/locate files that are behind sub-folders/directories, so if you try to make an 80's pop folder and a 90's hiphop folder you can't, you have to basically make all the individual folders available from the root directory. You have to connect the parking brake wire to the ground in order to use the video while driving (says in manual). The massive 16? channel equalizer is useless due to the poor output. Running with LOUD on will give you more distortions than my ex-girlfriend. I run this on no LOUD and can get around 30-34 volume level before I hear massive distortion on a completely new set of speakers. This thing works, but if you are serious about your audio I would recommend a 4-5 channel amp or even a 2 channel amp and just wire the front and rears together to get decent quality sound. Oh and for some reason the screen dims with the output volume if you turn the subwoofer off in the settings... ... show more
