As other reviewers mentioned, the cap is way too tight. I removed the cap retainer and added a thin flat washer between the tangs and the cap. That helped but still had to bend the tangs slightly. A slightly smaller diameter O-ring might be an option. I also used some permatex on the )-ring to hold it in place in the cap. Overflow hose nipple on the radiator is 5/16 and 1/4 on the overflow can. I used some clear vinyl tubing (3/16 I.D-5/16 O.D) as a "bushing" on the can nipple to slide the 5/16 hose on. Works great, good tight fit. The Home Depot part# for the clear tubing is 714422. Looks good installed. '61 Olds wagon/LQ9 ... show more

Does what it's supposed to. Cap is tight. I bent the gangs. I used rivnuts to install instead of of the rivets it came with.

I agree with others, the cap is ridiculously tight need channel locks to open, the tubes really should be 5/16 fittings versus what you get no easy way to convert to a coolant hose of the radiator, I expoxied brass barbs over the nipples. Worked fine.
