I took down the bypass closet doors Which were a pain in the tush because they blocked half the closet all the time, and replaced them with curtains held up by this tension rod. It has been a convenient and attractive change! The rod is very sturdy in spite of the fact that it comes in sections. The sections do screw together very firmly, and the rod feels very secure. The only reason I marked the rating down one is because the description indicates that it’s spring loaded and the Instructions for installation follow that. It took some trial and error to figure out that instead of being spring loaded, the rod had to be twisted until there was enough pressure to hold it up in the opening. There was no springiness to it.. At any rate, I’m happy with it now. ... show more

Easy to assemble, great quality. Perfect bronze color, matched my fixtures perfectly. Most importantly when I installed it feels very sturdy not flimsy at all. Holds up shower curtain and liner well. Not a lot to say about this shower rod. The color is right, but when you put it together, it sort of sags in the middle. When you look at the shower curtain hanging on it, you can see that the curtain hangs down a smidge more in the middle than it does on either side. Couldn't adjust it to fit tighter from side to side. It was easy to assemble. Just took all of about 30 seconds to put together. It's not worth the time or effort to send it back for a less droopy in the middle rod. Not quite sure if I would recommend or not. ... show more
