This is a great knife set. It comes with steak knives, chopping knives, slicing knives, scissors, and more that all sit nicely in a block. They are black and sleek looking, so go nicely with any kitchen decor. They also don't take up much counter space, which is nice. They are sharp and cut nicely through meat, fish, fruits, and veggies. The handles feel nice in your hands and the whole set is easy to use.     • A Quality Knife Set For The Low Price. Just Don't Expect Professional Grade Blades Or Construction
This is a good knife set at this low price point. All of the included knife blades are very sharp out-of-the-box, and they are very easy to re-sharpen (or hone on a steel) when necessary. The black non-stick coating is also a very nice feature, especially when cutting sticky things like cheese. The black knife handles, and the black knife block, are a very nice looking touch in a modern kitchen. The knife block, with its very smooth black finish, is also easy to wipe down and clean. This knife set includes 14 pieces (13 knives and a knife block). All of the knife types are very useful, especially having the 6 steak knives at meal time. The serrated bread knife is very handy, so bread can be cut without squashing it in the process. The only negatives that I would give these knifes are that the blades are thin, and they are not “full-tang” constructed, which makes knives more durable and balanced. However, I was not expecting Gerber or Kershaw grade chef’s knives at this low price point. I am also not a big fan of the cheesy Chinese symbols on the knife blades, but I guess I can live with it. The shears are also pretty flimsy, so don't expect to be boning a whole chicken with them. Overall, I like this knife set, and I will recommend it to other potential buyers. However, don’t expect some high end "professional" quality knives that will stay sharp indefinitely, and can double as a meat cleaver. Also, only time will tell how on durability, especially when it comes to that black coating wearing off, but so-far-so-good. ... show more

Both in look, and cutting ability, these are some sharp knives. Purchased these for the pub expecting them to be throwaways but man these are some of the nicest knives that I have purchased in a set. While these are by far not professional quality, I really cant knock them on much considering the price. ... show more

I was really excited to see how sleek and comfortable these knives are. We are going through and completely rethinking everything in our kitchen. I spend so much time making meals for everyone quality utensils a I want well made products and new material to try. These knives are sharp and make cutting through anything a lot simpler task they made my old knives look like garbage it's like rollin in with the Chrysler 300 all black with tinted windows like ..."here's how its done"! Ill probably have friends over for steak just to show off my steak knives. I LOVE that they came along with kitchen scissors and the scissors have a bottle opener on them ... uh hello what's in the glove compartment?!
