Bought these for my GF to match the regular Ergo cork ones I've had for a few years. For our sweaty hands the real cork handles feel significantly better to the ground-cork w epoxy composites one gets on some other high-end poles. Have not experienced any issues with the clamping mechanism and the poles have always held position once clamped. Very light. Easy adjustments. Love the cork handles. I suggest buying the BD rubber tips for hiking on rocky trails. We have now used these several times on the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania. They have saved us from injury several times and really help reduce back fatigue.

Solid poles, great grip, lightweight and easily adjustable for change in incline. Only downside is they do not collapse down for travel as some other poles do, but is able to fit into large suitcase. Used rubber tips (separate purchase) made for poles that gripped different terrain well.

We each used one of mine on a particularly challenging & rocky hike and they saved our ankles (and behinds!) multiple times! (Do buy the rounded tip covers.) Cork handles are great, these are a huge upgrade to the poles I had. I use these for hiking, first field test was a 14mi backpacking trip in the Rockies. Great for taking pressure off back and knees.
