f you need a blender, buy this one. It does everything most people will ever need a blender to do. In my opinion, there is very little reason to spend much more money on a high-priced blender for normal household use. Over the years, I’ve had very good experiences with BLACK+DECKER products, and this blender has continued that tradition. The motor is powerful enough to make smooth drinks using firmer fruits like mangoes and avocados, and it handles ice easily for smoothies or an evening daiquiri. Remarkably, the blades have remained sharp after years of use. Another thing I appreciate is how quickly it disassembles for cleaning. Honestly, I rarely even need the dishwasher. A little dish soap and warm water usually does the job perfectly. One suggestion: after cleaning, reassemble the parts immediately. I somehow misplaced one critical piece after washing my previous blender. Ironically, that older blender had worked flawlessly for years — I replaced it only because I lost that part. I also like the lid design. It allows either a wide pour or a narrow controlled pour depending on the thickness of the drink. It has more settings than I will probably ever use.     • Stopped working after first use

I purchased this blender and tested it out of the box. The Blender stopped working the first time I used it--after about 20 seconds. The motor was completely dead. I tested it on various outlets and tested the outlets--but completely dead motor--just nothing! I contacted the extended warranty company who referred me to Black & Decker since it was less than a year old. I was on hold with Black and Decker and referred to another department, and then on hold for another long time. The company was polite and gave me lots of instructions on how to submit the Claim. They replaced the blender with the same model, but the same thing happened again-- completely shutting down permanently after the first use--not overheating but completely dead. I was only using it for milk, yogurt, bananas--really easy stuff and it's supposed to be an ice crusher! I'd made the same recipes in Cuisinart and Hamilton Beach Blenders for years. Some research online confirmed this model has electrical/mechanical issues. I went back to Black and Decker who were again very nice and efficient and this time decided to replace the blender with a different model. I used this second replacement 4-5 times and then it died too! So now I'm waiting to hear from the Seller again. The extended Warranty Company refunded my money since I can't use the warranty. All I can say is I was treated very professionally and fairly by both the Black and Decker company and the Warranty company so far. Therefor I would give them a good rating on Customer Service. But I can't recommend the Blenders at all. ... show more

It worked great to make a smoothie, although it took a bit for everything to get blended up properly. I had to stop it a few times and stir things around. This was one of my MANY purchases during Prime Days. I make pasta sauce several times a year and this blender works great! A food processor works slightly better, but this blender has multi uses; there are endless possibilities! I like a glass pitcher much better than plastic. Margaritas are much better made in glass vs. plastic. The different power speeds make blending much more efficient. The blender and stand are easy to clean and store. Very impressed with this blender, especially for the price. A tremendous value and it's the quietest blender I've ever used (or heard). It has 4 modes (speed settings) but for most people, it's plenty and gets the job done every time. We throw frozen fruit in for smoothies and it has plenty of power. It's very easy to clean, simply remove the bottom, pop out the blade section and clean. Very easy to dis and reassemble. I don't have any complaints or issues with this blender and even considering buying another just to have around in case this one ever fails or wears out.
