    • Great Iron whilst it still work.
I bought this iron on August 20, 2021. I'm a quilt maker and I wanted an iron that is heavy to flatten the seam and at the same time provides heat to smooth wrinkles when pressing so this iron fits the bill easy. I do not use steam. If needed I rather spray on water or Best Press and lay the heavy iron on the pieces I'm working with. In my opinion the design of the holes on the sole plate could use some rework. With the current design holes sometimes causes the fabric to scrunches up under it when you pull the iron back and forth. I'm very diligent in taking care of my belonging. I clean my iron often, check the cord and always switches of the dial and pull the plug off when I do not use the iron. So I'm very disappointed when the iron stopped working yesterday January 28, 2023. I'm now searching for similar iron to replace this one but there are not many choices available on the market that fits the bill. I will continue looking. ... show more

What a relief it is to finally find an iron that does what it's supposed to do! Except for the handle, it's metal, has a larger plate on the iron surface, heats water fast for steam, is heavier so you don't have to press on it, and even makes the steam-sounds that an iron is supposed to make. I love it, and I would buy another one if it gets stolen by my daughter! UPDATE: All of the above is true, however I do have a complaint. This iron only holds about 3/4 cup of water, so the steam doesn’t last long, so I have to be constantly filling it for the best steam performance. 😕 ... show more

I have used irons that are lighter so when I tried this it took some time to get used to. Wrinkles from different fabrics are solved easily.

A relative has the actual vintage version of this and I used it while staying with them. I had forgotten how awesome old irons were compared to the lightweight, plastic junk we get now. I was prepared to hunt down an old one (and probably pay a pretty penny for it) when I found this. It's EXACTLY the same and I'm so happy! Well pressed clothes again - yay! ... show more

I like this iron very much but it arrived with a deep wrinkle in the wire cover at the base of the iron so it wouldn't stand up straight while I was ironing. I kept molding the rubber cover at the base of the iron and it got straightened out but then the rubber cover came loose and the wires were exposed so I was afraid to use it. I contacted Black and Decker and they were very easy to deal with and decided to replace the iron. I am very satisfied with this service, although I haven't received it yet.
