So I figure new camera, OK fine I'll fall for it and buy the over priced charger that should of been included in the first place when I purchased the camera. So I buy the official batter and charger. The charger comes with no cord? Bad enough it's not a plug in. Looks like some unique usb cord is needed but it's not included with the charger. That's pretty bad. I like that it's compact and uses USB C for charging, however it doesn't come with a cord. For the price, it really should have one! At a minimum, it should say in the description that it doesn't come with one.

This is just the base to fit the battery. The plug and cable actually come with the camera or can be bought separately. Otherwise, you might want to use a cable to charge from some other USB outlet. Frankly, when you buy a 900 dollar camera and you don't get a dedicated battery charger, it means the company doesn't respect it's clients and are cheapskates or profit mongers... You choose. It's ridiculous. Their answer is for you to charge the camera via an on board circuit while it's inside the camera. Well, why would I want to constantly run a charge through the camera. During the day when I use it and at night when I'm charging? It's not great. It uses up the operating resource of the camera. This tiny base probably costs a buck or two to make but they charge 45?
