He gobbles it down. (I think it’s the chicken.) Likes it with a little water. I like it because it’s low carb but not zero carb, which makes him lose too much weight for his age. I look for food that results in firm bm’s, healthy happy dog, and in kibble form. I feed 1/2 c 2x/day, he’s 22 lbs mixed terrier, 15-17 yrs old. Plus he gets a peanut butter stick each day and 1 or 2 small dog biscuits, vet says biscuits are high calorie. I wish the suggested feeding amount were on the package, but trial and error, this keeps him at stable weight the vet approves of. Always buy the biggest box at Amazon for best price. ... show more

We were looking for a healthy kibble food alternative for our pitbull (Goofy) because the regular store sold brands are very unhealthy - they are processed, do not have any nutritional benefits, and quite frankly nasty. Even the ones that claim to be healthy are only a tad healthier than the others. Read the ingredients and do some research to find out what the ingredients are - nasty. They may cost less but in the long run our pets are like our children and part of the family. We all want the best for them. Goofy loves the Bixbi food. He did from the very beginning.
