I used to use the old 2"x3" silver farm fencing, but cut myself too much, and finally changed to this wire fencing instead. So glad I did! Not only is it kinder on my skin, but more durable, easy to use to cut and intall. Love it! My animal refuge is so much better for it, with animals secure, yet can easily see out but can't get to the plants to devour. Need another roll or two! ... show more

I build a lot of "Catios" and go through hundreds of feet of Vevor 1" vinyl coated mesh wire. It always arrives well packaged and ready to go. They even include wire cutters & gloves with every order! Great product from a great vendor! Never disappointed.

    • Cost effective small gapped wire fencing roll.

The coating is thick enough not to flake off when cut. Keep in mind this is thin gauged wire, so it will sag until pulled tight and secured. A wire cutter is included. I was not a fan as the cutter isn't very sharp but it was free. I build a PVC cage like structure and used zipties to secure the wire about every 4" along a 6 ft tall panel. I had purchased similar vinyl-coated wire - at least by the description - from a farm supply company previously. I needed 10 more feet, but this was the only product I could find on Amazon that was 1 inch square, black-vinyl-coated welded wire. The gauge if very light. Perhaps it is 16 gauge as they state, but my previous wire was much heavier. The real problem, as stated in other reviews, is that the wire arrives with much of this very, very thin vinyl already gone, exposing much of the welded wire to the elements. They either used extremely cheap vinyl, or put the coating on as a micro-thin layer. My previous wire stayed in place without rusting for over 3 years. To my knowledge, it is still in place and still not rusted. This wire will no doubt rust and deteriorate in short order. I really don't recommend this wire. You can find a much better product elsewhere. For completeness, I used this wire to prevent our small dogs from exiting our yard through the faux-wrought-iron fence. It is mounted using more zip black zip ties than any sane person would use. It is fit for this purpose, but will likely need to be replaced within a few years. Luckily, it came in 50 foot lengths, and I will only need to replace ten feet at a time, so maybe I have 10 years worth of welded wire (10 feet every two years). We use this as permanent deer fencing around the base of young trees when our local hardware store is out. Works well, ships fast, affordable. Does not keep smaller young rabbits out. You'll need 1" or smaller holes for that.
