  • Well-Built and Funcational Bird Feeding Station
Color: Deep Blue
The media could not be loaded. This product was easy to assemble and to get up and running. After connecting to my local Wi-Fi, setting it up on a pole outside, and enabling Motion Detection on the Vicohome app, I started getting candid shots of the birds coming to the feeder (as attached). The camera's picture quality is good and has a good field of vision. I'm able to control it remotely, such as turning off motion detection and putting it in sleep mode, even when I'm miles away. The feeder has been operating for almost a week and still has half of the battery charge remaining so power consumption is low. There is a solar power panel for charging the bird feeder in-place and a USB cable for charging it from a computer or other USB power source. It also has a front patio extension with plenty of bird-sized perches. I've never seen this feature on a bird feeder but it is nice because the birds tend to land there, which gives a good camera perspective. I will be experimenting with different types of seeds and food. There are plastic spikes for spearing pieces of the fruit. Where I live in Massachusetts, USA, I'll probably see about adapting these for suet or some other types of protein-rich foods. I'm looking forward to more visitors and the up-close pictures of their behavior. ... show more

  • Great gift for a bird watcher
Color: Deep Blue
Purchased this for my wife and she loves it. A bit pricey for a feeder but we use the camera also for security. It has an amazing picture and a really wide view. The wireless signal doesnt go too far but works well for where we installed it. It worked for about a week on just one charge before we got the solar panel. I would highly recommend this if someone is thinking about purchasing one. After using this for a while, my wife and I are enjoying and learning how to use it. We still occasionally have a problem but the unit overall works good. The camera is fantastic and the solar panel is a nice addition. The videos are super clear and the AI works well. It’s really fun to see the birds come up to the feeder while I’m at work. The feeder has attracted more birds to my yard and I’m learning more about their habits. I didn’t know many of them and now, I just touch AI and I get identication and if I want I can get lots more information about them. I look forward to seeing them each day. With SD card, it stores all activity and I can see my puppies in the yard, too! ... show more

  • Looks great
Color: Diamond Blue
I bought this for my mom. Love the design and look, but disappointed that they try to get you to buy a subscription to unlock all functions of the app etc.

  • not sure how much range there is on the blur tooth.
Color: Deep Blue
it's very cool to be able to watch the birds feed (and other critters). easy to assemble, the only down side is we had to mount it a little closer to the house than we originally wanted so we could get the WiFi signal. it's still a decent ways away. it's a cool novelty feeder

  • BirdKiss Smart Bird Feeder Installation Issues
Color: Light Blue
There are many complex Birdkiss Smart Bird Feeder installation issues that I never anticipated. I learned there is no comparison between Hummingbird feeders that I’ve installed and wild birdhouses. For example, Hummingbird feeders are a welcome addition to most yards and gardens because Hummingbirds help pollinate fruits, vegetables, and flowers without many of the environmental considerations needed for wild birdhouses. HUMAN SOCIETY and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service The Human Society of the United States (Feeding Birds in your Backyard) and the United States Fish & Wildlife Service (To Feed or Not to Feed Wild Birds) explain many challenges of adequately installing wild birdhouses, and a few are: 1. There are very few months that wild birds require feeding. 2. There are specific birdhouse locations that could put wild birds at risk if their feeder is installed where predators could harm the birds near unprotected windows, trees, bushes, etc. 3. Bird diseases are more easily transmitted from birdhouses than from the seeds and insects birds naturally eat in the wild. CONCLUSIONS After learning that my yard could not safely house the BirdKiss feeder, I was very disappointed because I already spent time setting up the BirdKiss App and confirming its connectivity. Fortunately, I learned more about the necessary wild bird habits before investing additional time and money in installing a birdhouse stand and pole. My rating for the Birdkiss Smart Bird Feeder is three stars because necessary consumer guidance for locating the best birdhouse locations, habitats, and seasonal feeding guidelines are not included. However, for some homeowners living in more accommodating areas, the BirdKiss birdhouse could be appropriate. I will give the Birdkiss Smart Bird Feeder to others for these reasons. ... show more

  • Awesome feeder!!
Color: Deep Blue
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had this smart feeder about a month and a half now and I love it! I only get two bars on the wi-fi where I placed it but have not had any connection issues at all. The battery stays fully charged at all times and I get some lovely videos of my birds! The bird ID can be helpful sometimes but I wish it would allow you to input your region so as to filter out birds from Australia, Africa etc (I’m in the US). Of course this doesn’t effect the functionality of the feeder. I also wish I could find different accessories for the perch like maybe a small hummingbird feeder or mealworm/jelly cup. All in all I am extremely happy with this purchase and highly recommend this product! ... show more
