I’ve had this for a few months now and am overall happy with this purchase but there are some cons. Pros: - cute design - cheaper than competitors - set up was pretty easy - solar panel works great; my camera is always fully charged and the solar panel is in partial shade. - app is easy to use and functional Cons: - after some months of use, the paint on top of the birdhouse is peeling away and looks bad. - similarly, the latch on the roof where you put in the birdseed has stopped working, so I can’t secure the roof of the birdhouse

Very good, really nice quality and everything. It’s made of wood so the squirrels will chew it. You do need to protect it from squirrels, but I would recommend clearcoating the heck out of it every year or so, and it could last a pretty long time. Plus it’s repairable and it’s made of good quality wood just needs more weatherproofing shellac..

The media could not be loaded. I don't really bird watch but I do grow a garden every year and like to (mostly) have wildlife around. I thought this bird feeder would just be a fun whose who of animals in my yard. For the most part, the camera and feeder was easy to install. I say mostly because I don't think there was a portion that said install the app and connect the camera before you move on to setup. I mean you have to install the antennae as well as the bar etc and then the solar panel. However, you need to charge the camera first to be able to connect it. The other part that didn't occur to me was not only does this need to go in an accessible bird area, away from a window, with a post or tree, but also close enough to connect to your internet. Fortunately, ours seems just good enough of a connection but I almost got too far in installation to undo if I was wrong. Next, on location, I am actually pretty happy with ours. This serves as a covert ring door bell camera, alerting you of visitors before they get to the door. It also is a game camera. Our house has motion lights that light up the space in front of the camera. We have seen deer many times on the camera and we have bears in our neighborhood. It will be awesome if it catches him as he knows how to open car doors. I attached ours to a large tree about 5 to 6 ft off the ground. Mostly this is because it gets a lot of sunlight for the solar panel and branches don't block it. Now, a few flaws I found. As I mentioned, I attached it to a large tree and the trunk is quite large. The strap provided barely went around and the clasp doesn't allow for it to tighten like a rachet. So I used a ratchet strap instead for the bird feeder and used the included strap for securing the solar panel. Also, birds didn't come at all the first 2 weeks. However, that's when the company sent an email with tips on how to remedy that issue. We haven't had any issues with squirrels yet either but we have a large population so I don't know if that will last. Now for the good and results. The app is pretty nice. No fees or hassle signing up. You can adjust sensitivities and notifications you receive. I personally like the notifications and it even identifies the bird which is amazing. The camera doesn't need a microsd card because all the videos it takes are stored on. The app and you can download them to share. They are usually 10 to 15 secs. You can also edit the video or take a screenshot and add an emoji etc. The wood case and door that holds the camera seems pretty well made and secure. We've had freezing temps and lots of snow and no issues with performance. The solar panel also keeps up well to power it no issues. Food easily can be added from the top flip door. Overall, despite the few issues I had in the beginning, the expected and unexpected benefits far outweigh any trouble. We don't have a ring camera, nor want a subscription service. We have tried game cameras but the batteries and remembering to check doesn't work for us. This was like a 3 in one product and it's inconspicuous. Worth every penny.

We love the Bird feeder, but 4 stars are for mounting options. If you want to put it on a five foot Shepherds hook, you need to rig a way to hang it. We put it on our deck, and only got Squirrels because they had easy access. In the spring I will rig a way to put a wire on the Unit so I can actually hang it, so I can Squirrel proof it. The way the hardware is now, it's made to put on a small round tree. Dean.

This is the Birdify Mini. I'll just say upfront that we're thrilled with this camera birdhouse. I have no problem with it other than the camera images always seem to show the edges rounded off strangely. That being said, here are a few things that I wanted to highlight. This does not come with a pole, so you'll need to buy one separately. Birdify includes hardware options for mounting to a tree or a flat surface such as a concrete or wood wall. You will need to improvise for mounting to a standard birdhouse pole. You cannot mount to the bottom of the birdhouse and you are quite limited when mounting to the backside. It can be done. Likewise, the solar panel mounting could have been better thought out. I had no place to mount it other than off the side as seen in my pictures. That actually worked out well for me as I had no other place to put it. Be aware that this way of mounting significantly adds to the weight of the birdhouse on the pole. The instructions say that for outdoor use (what other use would it be for), you should "finish" the wood. They stated this near the end, so remember to do this first. I put two coats of clear spray lacquer on it. They give you a QR code for the software and it installed easily. Once you set up an account, it automatically activated the cloud storage and bird identification feature which came with my purchase. The software immediately starts recording video and pushes a notification to my phone when motion (hopefully a bird) is detected. I have not seen any way to just snap a picture, just video. It may be there, but I haven't found it yet. This birdhouse will take a bit of dedicated work to get it mounted, but it wasn't that bad at all. Now, we just need some birds!! We can't wait!
