I purchased the starter kit thinking I would get all the little extras i.e. the nesting circle die cut rings and the folding stamp and etc. I just got a machine...nothing else. 109.00 for just the machine. Instructions would have been nice too. I guess that's what Google is for. :(

I needed something smaller, as space is limited. The handle detaches and the beds fold up, which gave me more space. The device is super easy to use. I cut some cardstock and ran it through the embosser - compared to a linen look cardstock, this is way nicer. This device really perks up my card making. Thank you Bira! ... show more

I simply couldn't rationalize the cost of the name brand, heavily marketed, die-cutting machines so I told myself I did not need one and would not buy one. Of course, a large percentage of the online card-making videos use embossing or die-cutting in some way, so my resolve was sorely tested! I'd purchased a Bira stamping platform when I wanted one (also after a battle of want vs. need!) and also found the prices of the name brand ones ridiculous and I was pleased with the function and quality. So, when I saw that there was a die-cutting machine from Bira, and the price seemed reasonable, I ordered it. I'm happy to have it and have been successful cutting and embossing with any brand dies and folders. I actually think the Bira is better with its adjustable pressure than the brands that have to be shimmed. So, if you don't care about the name printed on the machine and just want to get the job done, I would definitely recommend the Bira. ... show more

I am very happy with this 6" die cutting and embossing machine. The best thing is that it is adjustable, it folds up and the handle is removable for transporting it. No more guessing what shim to try. The only thing I don't like is the longer platform, I just don't need the extra length. They are now making a shorter platform and cutting plate set of 3. They have also come out with a magnetic platform and cutting plate set of 4 which I did buy and I am very pleased with it. The magnetic plate set is sold as a replacement for the Magnetic cutting machine.....(But that one doesn't fold up or adjust.) You do have to use the adjustments to use the magnetic plates with this machine but that is the best part, it is easy to adjust and it cuts great. It is a little heavier than I expected but that is because it is metal inside. That is a good thing. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone looking for a good all around machine. ... show more

This isn’t a big brand name but IMHO it does way more! All the other machines need shims (pieces of cardboard or plastic or paper) to make them the right thickness but all you need to do on this is turn a couple of dials. I’ve used it for both die cutting and embossing plates and it works great. I also just tried it with the GoPress and Foil today and it worked great with it too. I ran it through slowly a few times so that may have helped. ... show more

Omg! Best for the money! I have rheumatoid arthritis and have had multiple surgeries on my left hand/wrist/elbow due to a wreck. I’m able to turn the handle easily. I was very surprised at how easy the handle turns. The electric ones were so expensive but I really wanted something to emboss my cards. ... show more
