The perfect fit for my pistols. I have five full size handguns that are completely secure in this safe. The foam padding at the bottom and the magnetic, dense foam pistol holder are great for keeping your handguns scratch free. I also have twelve boxes of 9mm and 13 boxes of .45 ACP ammo currently, on the top shelf of this safe. I didn’t expect a safe of this size to have that much storage area. It is great! I love this safe box from VoleStay. The quality is exceptional. It comes very well-packaged. This safe is not heavy for a safe; it is about 30 lbs. This safe came with anchor holes on the back wall of the safe and the bottom of the safe to secure it. I love that it has dual anchors to keep anyone from removing it. This safe comes with two keys, and to set up the fingerprint lock, you will need a 9V battery, which is not included. The instructions are for the safe way to use AAA batteries, but it only takes a 9V. Once you install the battery, the fingerprint lock is effortless to set up. The sensor works great; I have never had a problem getting into this safe with my fingerprint. Fingerprint and pin codes are straightforward to set up by instruction. The safe is very roomy inside; there is one removable metal shelf to give you extra storage space/ the ability to organize the contents of the safe. At the bottom of the safe, there is a handgun holder made from a very dense foam material, and it is attached to a magnetic metal strip for securing the back wall of the safe. This handgun holder is perfectly molded to hold 5 barrels incredibly snugly and securely. The magnet is nice and robust, ensuring your handguns are securely stored. I recommend this VoleStay Biometric Home Safe to protect valued personal items, everything from jewelry and documents to firearms and ammunition. Great price for the confidence in Safety it provides.

Easy set up. Fast delivery. The fingerprint scanner is spot on everytime so far. The directions do not tell you where the battery compartment is. It was covered up with a velcro door cover, however, I figured it out. You will need a screw driver to open the battery compartment. Also, the directions were not clear about the 9 volt battery purpose. Its not something you actually install. Also, I did not receive the foam cuts needed to a pistol holder. The safe seems like it will meet my needs.

This is the second of this type of budget-level safe that I've purchased. The first was fine but I returned it because the size wasn't quite right for my needs. I wanted something to store a small handgun collection and for that basic purpose the safe certainly seems fine. The build quality, for the money spent, seems honestly quite good. It's heavy and has a solid feel to it. The door hinges are strong and operate freely & smoothly. The lock mechanism has a good solid feel to it, as well. The electronic entry features seem to work okay -- after programming my fingerprint in, it does recognize it consistently, and that aspect of the operation is simply and intuitive. I will say that using the number pad to enter the entry code can be frustrating. The keypad is supposed to highlight and accept input after a single touch, but it never does -- I always have to tap it at least a couple times. That would be a bigger annoyance if I actually used the feature, but since the fingerprint entry does work consistently, it's not a big deal to me. Another negative feature is the gun rest that comes with the safe -- it's nonsense and really doesn't work. It's nothing more than just a piece of foam that **sort of** fits across the bottom of the safe. The foam then has notches cut into the top, into which you are supposed to be able to rest the barrel of a handgun. It doesn't work -- you'll end up knocking the foam out of position every time you go to remove or replace one of your guns. So it's useless. I just got a separate handgun rack to put into the safe, and that works fine. I don't think this would be the right option if you really were interested in absolutely secure, fire-proof protection. As a basic measure for security, however, it does serve its purpose at a good price.

Poor quality. Door not aligned properly, almost impossible to open. Otherwise decent safe. Edit. Customer service outstanding. Sent me a new one pretty promptly. Much better quality. Works perfectly.
