  • Seat warmer stopped working after two years
Size: Elongated Style: A8
Second edit: the seat warmer has ceased to work, after just two years of ownership. My last bidet, a coway, lasted 7 years. Edit: after using this bidet for several weeks now, I've gotten used to the softer spray. One advantage to it is that it doesn't splash water everywhere, so there's less to mop up with toilet paper prior to starting the dry cycle. I've gotten used to the way it works, so I'm changing my review from 1 star to 3 stars. It's ok. It's not bad. I still am not happy about the fact that I can't use Eco mode and still have the seat warmer on. I left my original review unedited below, for those who are curious about why I initially hated it so much. TL;DR: Keep looking if you want a bidet that has a strong spray and good oscillation/massage features. This one is completely inadequate in those regards. A bit of background first: I owned a Coway BA13 for almost 9 years, and loved it. Eventually, though, the rear spray nozzle stopped working correctly, and the seat sensor decided to work intermittently as well, so I figured it was time to get a new bidet seat. After some research, I bought a Brondell Swash 1400, which scalded me with incredibly hot water, so I exchanged it for another. The second one arrived broken -- the seat sensor didn't work at all, so it wouldn't go into Eco mode, and wouldn't stop spraying/drying when one would stand up. QA is clearly not their strong suit, so I decided to try BioBidet. I'm trying to steer away from Toto because as a user, I've found the strength of the spray on Toto bidets to leave much to be desired. BioBidet, according to some internet research, has the highest GPM of the three brands, so I thought it would be at least as strong as the spray on the Coway or the Brondell. Nope. Not even close. 1. The spray is so weak, I feel like I have to spend more time just to be sure everything is taken care of. It definitely does not do its job expediently. 2. The Eco mode is dumb -- the seat warmer turns off in Eco mode, so you end up sitting on a cold toilet seat. Having a warm seat is one of the joys of these bidet seats, so I had to turn off Eco mode. Lame. 3. The dryer, on its hottest setting, almost burned both me and my bf on our bums, on the left side (I'm guessing, although haven't verified, that the dryer is on the left side). We had to turn down the dryer to a lower setting, so it's obviously less effective (although dryers on these things are never that effective -- I always use TP first to do an initial pass, especially since this one has to use so much water to get the job done). 4. The massage and oscillating functions are utterly and completely useless. I used to use an oscillating feature on the Coway and Brondell bidets, but on this one it just seems to turn off and on -- not move back and forth or side to side or anything. 5. The unit doesn't save the last used water temperature, for some strange reason. It keeps going back up to 39C, which is way too hot for female parts. I need to try to set up user settings to see if I can get it to stop doing that. 6. The remote control is ridiculously unintuitive at first, and overcomplicated by the fact that you have to turn it over to make adjustments. The Coway/Brondell remote does all the same things with a much more elegant interface. I haven't decided if I am going to return this unit yet. If this is how it's supposed to behave, then I'd have to find yet another brand/model that might be better. Too bad Brondell sucks so much -- it really did work just like my Coway did, except for the scalding hot water and other quality issues. ... show more

  • Faulty design - low pressure and 12 second delay before dryer activates
Size: Elongated Style: A8
I have owned this bidet for 2 years. After 18 months the water jet slowed down to a trickle and the time delay for the dryer to activate slowed to 12 seconds. You may not think that is a big deal but it makes the difference between using the bidet and not using it. All other bidets that I have used have a 2-3 second delay but not the BioBidet. It waits for the water arm to fully retract before starting up the dryer. This takes 12 seconds. Guests who have used my bidet and who have their own (other brands) bidet always ask “What’s wrong with your bidet – the dryer takes forever to start?” I contacted BioBidet customer support. They first had me try using vinegar to increase the water pressure which did not work. They also agreed that a 12 second delay for the dryer activation “seems a long time” but would not (or didn’t know) how long the delay should be. They finally decided to RMA the bidet for repairs under warranty. This is where the fun started. 1) Unlike other companies, BioBidet require YOU to pay for shipping to return the item. In my case that was over $50 in shipping. (A friend returned hers for repair to Kohler who not only paid for shipping but supplied a replacement bidet with the shipping box and prepaid postage.) 2) Afer 5 days, and confirmation from UPS that the bidet had been delivered to the repair address I called BioBidet who said they couldn’t locate it. After a day they called back and said they had found it and were working on it. 3) After another 2 days I received an email that the bidet was repaired and being shipped back to me. 4) I enquired if they had repaired both the low pressure water AND the 12 second dryer activation delay. Now here is the thing. Customer Service do not talk to the repair department. They don’t seem to have any way to actually connect with the person doing the warranty repair. So, subsequent to my simple question, they cancelled the “shipment” and sent an email to the repair department to ask them to do what I don’t know. 5) Several weeks then went by with no response from BioBidet other than “we are working on it” or “we are backed up due to Covid-19” etc. I didn’t want to be inconsiderate during the global pandemic, so I patiently waited. 6) Finally, they said the second repair was done and the bidet was being shipped back to me. 7) It arrived back. I installed it. The water pressure was back to normal. THE 12 SECOND DRYER DELAY WAS EXACTLY THE SAME – NO REPAIR DESPITE DELAYING THE RETURN OF THE BIDET BY SEVERAL MORE WEEKS. Do not buy products from BioBidet if you expect the warranty to mean anything. Other companies have much better warranties (e.g. Kohler). ... show more

  • Limited fit.
Size: Elongated Style: A8
We have had the bb-2000 for years and it's a great bidet but we were looking for one with a child function. This one has a super easy one touch child button. However you need to be very careful selecting this seat. First the front rim of the seat is extremely narrow. Meaning you will see the front rim of the bowl when it's down unless your front rim is super thin. It's very weird looking. Second there is a small bump under the washlet for the sprayer to come out. This bump needs to drop into the bowl. This limits how far back you can push the seat. Even though your toilet is in the specs the seat has to sit so far forward you either can't get to the bolts or the thin front overhangs the bowl completely. This seat may be nice but be warned it is very limited in what it fits. ... show more
