WE wanted a nicer cutting board we could leave on our counter - and a BIG one at that. This is not overly huge but you do get alot of surface to prep. It does hold stains if you dont hit them with a magic eraser. TIP - we bought some silicone tape (one side is sticky and the other is thin silicone - i bought here) and put that in each corner and that way it wont slide when cutting :)

Two of them fit perfectly across my standard stovetop, providing an extra work surface. I can put warm items on top without marring the finish (not sure about hot items). However, I also use them as cutting boards and the cuts do show, so I’m not sure how long they will last before looking tacky! They are just thick enough to feel sturdy, without being too heavy or clunky to transport to the sink for cleaning. They clean up easily with dish soap, even greasy stains if you get at them right away.

Currently, I have a cutting board similar to this one and have had it for many years, just wanted to replace it. However, this one, is nice looking in color, but, much thinner than the one I currently have therefore, I returned it. Someone else might be happy with it - as it is a nice color and appears durable and sturdy.
