Overall this is a pretty decent tabletop mic stand. You may want to add some rubber or foam feet to the base, as vibrations can tend to travel up from the desk if it's kicked or something. My only two complaints really about this product are the fact that it's a bit top heavy, especially if using the off-the-side holder for a condenser mic as shown in the primary photo--make sure your mic is not so heavy it will topple over easily, as the base is just not quite wide enough to keep this from happening (luckily I caught it falling before switching microphones I had in it), and the fact that the pop filter is not very sturdy, and doesn't hold the shape you bend it to very well, so it tends to drift or migrate away from the mic head. But, if you're using a light dynamic mic or have another pop filter you can swap with the one that it comes with, This is a pretty good stand for the price.

I had one of those boom mics, but it was clumsy, and didn't fit my work area very well, so I switched to a table model and it works great. Product arrived very quickly, and was just as good as I thought it might be. Highly recommend.

A lack of sturdiness is the primary issue. The base, although supposedly improved, is not heavy enough, nor is it broad enough. The entire unit tips forward slightly with the load of the microphone and pop filter. The base should be redesigned to be oval shaped, with the long axis facing the user to prevent forward tipping. Lowering the telescoping extension of the stand is not an option unless I elevate the entire setup. Microphone hold is fine, but the included shock mount did not fit my AT2020USB-X. I had to spend more for the correct shock mount than this cheap setup cost. So, value for the money was marginal at best. Setup was easy, any Neanderthal could do it. Ultimately, I cannot recommend this stand, as it minimally meets my needs. I have to put a weight on the back end to stabilize it. The stand needs further design improvement.
