I have been wanting an adjustable standing desk for a while now that I can pair with my ikea desks. This one is perfect! Is lowers enough to be even with my ikea desk and the white is the same white as the ikea white. I saw some reviews talk about the sturdiness of the desk and how their monitors would shake a little bit, it is actually sturdier than an ikea desk. The motor isn't loud when the desk adjusts. The assembly instructions were awesome! Each bag is labeled a letter and the instructions tell you which letter is associated with the item. The only complaint I have is that one of the pieces to the leg came with rust on it, it isn't a big deal for me though. I think this desk is 100% worth the cost. One thing to note is that many amazon "stores" offer this exact same product. They get it from China and drop ship it, so look at the cheapest option for the desk. There was another "store" selling the same one for $40 more. I decided to buy it from this store to save the $40 and it arrived 3 days sooner than the other one would have.

I bought the desk and a stroller arrived. Now mind you it was a very high quality stroller, and that stroller even converted into a high quality car seat, but it just wouldn't work as a desk. I chatted with Amazon's customer service and they arranged to pick up the stroller the next day and to issue me an immediate refund. These things happen, and Amazon really does a great job of taking care of those kind of mistakes. So I used the refund and ordered the desk again. Interestingly the second time a coupon popped up and I got the desk considerably cheaper. So other than the delayed gratification caused by the additional shipping time, it was a win. The desk is easy enough to put together, from a technical standpoint. The instructions are okay for clarity, although not great for detail. There is a video showing the assembly on the Amazon site though, and between the video and the printed instructions it was clear enough how to proceed. All of the parts were there, the many many holes that had to line up, lined up. It came with the needed tools for assembly. Once assembled it is sturdy and doesn't wobble at all, as some have suggested. It came with leveling pads or locking rollers, choice is yours which to use. I used the leveling pads myself as this thing isn't going to move now that it is where I want it. The only caveat I have is that if your body has been around awhile this desk can be a bit awkward and/or painful to assemble. A large portion of the work has to be done at floor level. This is hard on old knees and old backs. I suggest you find a younger person to do the actual assembly while you supervise - unless you are a younger person yourself. Or take some ibuprofen and get down there and do it. If I can do it at my age and with my back, I'm pretty sure you can too.

For context, I've never owned a sit stand desk before, let alone even considered the concept as I hardly ever wanted to stand up at my computer. However, the past few years of IT and constantly sitting working with excel and other projects, I can safely say that this is one of the better investments I've made all year so far. To start, let's talk about the sturdiness of the desk. If I'm being generous with my measurements, everything I have on the desk probably totals up to 100 pounds. There IS some wobble present, but only when the desk is real high up. Moving on to the control panel, it does its job. The wiring is straight forward and doesnt require any extra steps to get it to save heights. Where I think it lacks, however, is the buttons themselves. They don't feel satisfying to press and may wear out if used for long periods of time. As for me, I've had it for nearly a week and I've used buttons 1 and 2 (as they're the profiles I've saved for sitting and standing) quite a lot. Next up, the desktop. It's okay for the money. The desktop itself doesn't blow me away. In fact, the only unusable part about it is that the two boards you attach have a small slit between them. I don't need to be a writer to tell you that it's not ideal to just hit something on the desk while writing and suddenly ruin the document I'm signing or writing to. It's nice to write on otherwise, and can definitely be a pleasure once you get used to your preferred height. As for the legs of the desk, well they're metal and they seem to be holding the weight just fine. There isn't much to say, they do pretty good. The feet attached to them can be wheels or non slip feet. I chose non stick as I'm not gonna be moving around very much. Certainly a nice option though! Now the kicker. The building of the desk. This didn't take me too long, roughly 30 minutes of work. Granted, I'm pretty good at assembling things if I have a decent manual telling me how to do it, which the manual given does. Something I would like to see is a barcode or QR code to scan to get an online version of the manual. Doing this saves paper that would otherwise be thrown away as soon as I had it put together. Also, the amount of plastic is a little unsettling. Some nicer packaging would make a world of difference. Overall, would I recommend this? If you have 250 bucks and don't see another option, absolutely. The build quality seems just fine and will last upwards of 10 years with use, milage may vary. As for a rating, a solid 4/5 stars will do. This is good but it didn't blow me away. The biggest things I would love to see are replacement kits for the motor under the desk as I can imagine it's probably the first thing that will fail, new buttons on the control panel that feel better and more satisfying to press, and an online copy of the manual for easier use to those who don't get a manual or lose it and need it later down the line.
