  • Sturdy and works well.
It is sturdy and easy to use. Good for tuning spokes and balancing tires.

  • Excellent value for the price. Good stiff construction and adequate shaft, bushings and bearings.
I started with a Harbor Freight balancer which was shockly poorly constructed. I returned it the next day. This unit is much heavier and stiffer constructed. The shaft and bearings are good. It has the added wheel truing capability. For under $100 it is a heck of a value. And, although I have not used, it it is obvious this one will work. The one issue I had, was when assembled, the shaft did not run parallel to the stand. All the parts are good, but; they dont all fit square and true. I had to shim one side of one upright. Without doing this, the shaft would not ride flat on the 4 bearings. This is much more important than leveling. Be care with assembly. The shaft and uprights have to be square and true in all planes. Pay attention and measure carefully. This is Chinese and are getting what you pay for. ... show more

  • Bought to replace a Harbor Freight POS
I have an adventure sport motorcycle with spoked wheels and replaced the tires. I was having a vibration when at speed so I decided I would balance the wheels. When I put it together, I was impressed by the build quality and material quality of all components. I was able to assemble it well and it seems like very low bearing friction resistance. I just used it last weekend and it works very well for my 21 inch front wheel. I have already recommended to friend who needs a wheel balancer also and he will probably be ordering one. I had asked for the Harbor Freight wheel balancer $40 and my wife got it for me for Christmas. It came with a bent shaft. I got online and read that several others had bought units with bent shafts too and they would return to the store and go through all of the boxes in storage and they would all have bent shafts. ... show more

  • Have Your Metric Socket and Hex Keys Ready
Seems to be well-made and solid; however, there were no assembly instructions (other than a diagram of exploded parts and a photo of the finished project) and no instructions on how to use. Yeah, yeah, there are YouTubes of how to use it, but I'd like something in writing and over half the people on YouTube don't know WTF they're talking about. You'll need a 12mm socket and wrench and a set of hex tools to put it together. Oh, and a micro Philips head to mount and secure the bubble level to the base. Otherwise, hoping it does the job on my BMW K bike. ... show more

  • Good quality motorcycle tire balancer
The kit came well packaged. Assembly was easy. The quality of the material and design that includes adjustable legs and bubble leveler was good, no issues at all. I easily balanced my tires with it and when I was done, disassembled it and put it back in the original box to take up less space and to keep it clean. Very pleased and would recommend it. ... show more

  • Perfect for home mechanics.
I’ve used this wheel balancer about four times now. Saves me time and money from having to get my motorcycle tires balanced at a shop. I have two motorcycles and change my own tires. I have purchases wheel weights and use this to set the correct balance after installing the tires. To operate, make sure you are on a level plane. Use a line level to check, don’t trust your eyes. Place the wheel with mounted tire on the axle as described in the instructions, and gently roll the wheel. The wheel will stop rotating with the heaviest part down. Place a weight at the top and rotate again, adding weights as needed. I also use this to true my spoked wheels. Use the provided guide arm to touch the side of the of the wheel (not tire) and spin it. Use a spoke tightener to adjust the wobble. Loosen spokes near where the guide rubs against, and tighten spokes that are near areas that have gaps between the wheel and the guide. You will have to make small adjustments with the guide as you go. Take your time, and after a while you should have a nice round, smooth rotating wheel. ... show more

  • Saved me hundreds of dollars in service fees!
The shop qanted to charge me $225 per wheel! I did it myself for less than 1/4 of that! Works great for truing up spoked wheels. Had to thread new spokes into 2 dirtbike wheels and this tool is a godsend. Makes thw taak easy. Recommend doing slow adjustmenta all the way around and keep tightening in small increments until proper torque is reached. Go slow and take your time for a good result. ... show more

  • Great Customer Service. Product quality hopefully improved by now.
Bike Master Customer Service is great. They send us a replacement stand free of charge because of threading/alignment issues with these. Replacement exactly the same...poorly cut threads for spindle centers. Flimsy design, out of alignment from the factory. HOWEVER, we used both kits to make a good one. Welded reinforcing straps for rigidity, and used lapping compound to "seat" the centering bolt threads, and shimmed the supports for final alignment. Overall, if one wants to take the time/trouble to do what we did, better to find a better brand. NOTE: The company may have improved the product by now (this is written LONG after the purchase/adjustments were made. ... show more
