I have quite a few bicycles, in various sizes, and this is what I found: 700c wheel road bike: Tires are too thin to fit snuggly into the stand. It will work, but lacks stability. 27.5” wheel mountain bike: Ideal size for this stand. 26” wheel gravel bike: Works well. 24” wheel youth bike (MTB): Fits, but a bit loose. 20” wheel BMX bike: Did not fit (wheel diameter too small). In terms of construction, the YueTong bike stand is decently stable, especially with bicycles with larger tires. It’s composed of all black painted steel, with rubberized end-caps and upper post. The corners on the vertical bracket are sharp, not enough to cut, but close. On my unit, the cross member on the bottom tire cradle protruded, and its corner did cut my hand as I put it together. Not good. The Velcro belt that prevents the front wheel from turning, is a bit flimsy, and was too short to work on a MTB with 27.5” wheel. Also, for some reason, a logo was removed from the front plate, leaving some faint scratches and poorly done touch-up paint. Assembly was fast. It took perhaps 5 minutes to put together the four pieces. The provided hex key and tiny wrench were the only tools needed. If you have a painted or anodized seatpost, I’d recommend putting a soft cloth, sock, etc., over the upper post. You’ll also need to adjust the aforementioned part to fit your bicycle. Start in the lowest position, and work your way up: It’s easiest that way. If you use your bike often, I’d suggest just parking it horizontally in the stand. That works well. Storing in the vertical position takes a couple minutes, and while you do save space, it’s not the greatest. You can tell that someone did take the time to design this stand for actual usage. This stand is very easy to setup, it literally takes 5 minutes. The stand is heavy but comes together very easily, and then it's a solid stand that doesn't wobble or shake. Just put it where you need and roll your bike in. The holder is too thin for fat tire bikes, but normal bikes fit well. The option to store your bike upright is quite handy, though if your bike has mud guards or fenders, you might not be able to rest it on the upper stand. I got this for my husband to store his bike in his office since he claims its too nice to store in the garage. This stand was easy to assemble and fits his bike well. It does kind of need an extra strap for the wheel to keep it from just spinning once its lifted, but its overall great and a nice way to get it off the ground and a little more out of the way. ... show more

Great bike stand to save space. It is very easy to put together and saves a lot of space when the bike is stored in a vertical position. Came with a strap, but haven't used it as the bike stays without it. Front wheel does rotate 180 degrees when stored, but I don't consider that a problem. Also works well as a bike stand where the bike remains on the ground horizontally, but, of course, that wouldn't really save any space. Couldn't use this on our bike that has a basket on the back as you do need the back wheel and the seat bar to put it into the vertical storage position, but don't know of any vertical storage racks that would work with a back bicycle basket. ... show more

This was easy enough to put together, much easier than another bike stand I have, so that was helpful. All parts were included and instructions were clear. It feels very sturdy. It's made for adult bikes I believe, because I put a big kid's bike in it, on the lowest setting, and the tire isn't actually touching the tire holder. However, it still works, so I'm happy with it. But if you're looking for something for kids' bikes, I'd recommend something different. Mine included a velcro strap, with no reference to the strap in the instructions, so I just put it on where I thought it made most sense. I don't think I need it, but it seems like a good idea to help stabilize it if someone were to accidentally bump into the bike... this might help out. The stand has a wide enough base that it feels solid. My bike is a mountain bike with bigger tires and I did not need a strap to keep it secured. I had to pull this about 6 inches away from the wall with the bike in the air for the handle bars but that is NOTHING compared to the bike sitting on the kickstand taking up space. The stand is easy to assemble, adjustable in hight to account for the size of the bike, light weight enough for me to pick up with one hand easily if I need to move it, and sturdy enough to hold my adult sized mountain bike. I got this for my wife's bike. I took the picture on our deck but the bike will be stored in the garage. It's amazing how much space this saves. The rack was easy to put together, just three screws. It's well-made and sturdy. The bike is much more stable like this than it was on its kick stand. The Velcro type strap holds the front wheel straight. It’s pretty easy to get the bike in and out.
