Description

Important change: Due to raw material issues, we no longer provide translucent frames Tips: 1: If the mold is not filled with glue, then use double-sided tape to fix the top to avoid deformation caused by the top slip. 2: If the glue solidifies too quickly, it will cause the inner mold to shrink together and cause deformation. Please use ice water to cool when using this large mold. : High-quality silicone, safety, high Flexible, full transparency, Super easy to de-mold Fill the entire mold about 1200 grams of resin, You Can Make Any Size Below 15.7cm artworks Be careful to place the silicone mold insert into the plastic shell accurately, Make sure all sides flush. • It’s BIG
I am using my pyramid mold to pour any excess left over from any other item I am making. So it’s going to have a pyramid of colors in it. Really not a functional piece, but it will serve as a paperweight. It’s well made.

  • Can be used for multiple sizes
I got this mold for a specific craft but it is currently being used for all of the extra resin I have from the current projects in working on. The mold is pretty big but I like that you can use it for multiple sizes of pyramids.

  • Worked great so far! Only used once but plan on more...
The media could not be loaded. So far made one pyramid with excellent results! I think some people were frustrated with the inner flexible mold tearing or not being flush with the firmer outer mold. I’d didn’t have this problem, I followed the instructions with using alcohol between the two molds to get them to be flush with one another and then also followed the resin instructions to a T and had no problems. I also used a light coconut oil spray for a mold release, which is a passable product for such purpose (so I have been told and it worked here). Some people also said they had difficulties with uses after the first time—I only made one so far so if I have trouble after that I will update! So far so good though. ... show more

  • It takes patience but works well
I wasn’t sure if this would be a wise purchase given all the bad reviews but I took the plunge anyway. Since I have cats who jump on my work table at night I am diligent about making sure my molds are clean. I almost always spread a very thin layer of Vasoline inside them as this helps a lot in removing any dust or cat hairs that found a home inside my molds. It doesn’t effect the gloss and helps with demolding. I did have the issue of it looking uneven after putting it in the brace but I did what others have done and used double sided tape to keep it flush to the sides of the brace and it worked great. Hadn’t try the alcohol trick but will do that next time. I do not do thick pours as I like to control any bubble issues so that’s where the patience comes into play. I also always drop some mold release or soapy water before demolding. Guess I just want to make sure I get my moneys worth out of the mold. In summary, if you take your time and do all the preliminaries, you will have no problems. Now if there was a trick or two to use on my 4” sphere mold, I’d love to know them! Just can’t get the top on the sphere to be bubble free. I mean thousands of tiny bubbles, Ugh! ... show more

  • A bit misshapen but ok for now
The overall appearance of the product is that which is described. The outside retaining canister is sturdy and well shaped and inside silicone mold is of durable thickness. If directions are followed it appears there should’ve no problems.. however, it appears that in the demolding process the two corners were pinched out b4 the silicone was entirely set and the two opposite corners are bowed inwards permanently. With pressure, it lays flat against the retaining wall. My last layer will have some weight to it so I’m hoping that will flatten out. I’ll post further comment when I’m done ... show more

  • My first one !!
This project was very challenging but the item was very easy to work with. When finished it it was very easy to remove my resin pyramid out of it. I will use it in the future to make some more.

  • Best pyramid mold I've used this far! :)
I love the durability & smoothness of the product. The last molds I had came with marks & scrapes on them that damaged my pyramids. One side was also dented in which caused an indentation in the pyramid. I haven't had any issues with this mold at all. Love it!

  • Ruined with First Use
Not sure if it was operator error or the way the product is created, but the mold ripped with first use and a replacement isn’t available so I’d have to buy a whole new one. Very disappointing since even the first one didn’t come out. But again the blame may be in how I used it. I’ve made some smaller coaster pieces with success, so I’m not completely inexperienced but I am by no means an expert. The product is a neat idea, perhaps is I feel inspired I’ll try another at some point. ... show more
