  • Great bidet with useful features.
Style: 2000 Series | Elongated | Side Panel
**UPDATE** I thought I'd update my review after using this bidet for over 2 years. It is still working great! No issues or failures as of yet. My concerns about the durability of this bidet has been thoroughly settled. I always wanted to own a bidet but the cost kept me from taking the plunge into buying one. Toilet paper is getting expensive now however, and a few years ago manufacturers changed things so that the paper breaks down more easily to prevent Municiple sewer clogs. This has the adverse effect of making the toilet paper less durable, and it always leaves behind bits and pieces of paper that stick to you after use. Gross. A bidet I figured would solve my problems with TP and help save our sewers by reducing physical waste. After receiving the BidetMate 2000, I was a little confused about how to install it. The instructions were so simple (literally just a card), I figured they must of forgotten a vital part of the setup. Turns out I was over-thinking things and all I needed to do was install a part between my toilet and water intake hose. That info could have been better explained, but maybe I'm just an idiot. After I got past that part, installing the rest of the bidet was way easier than I thought it would be. Took maybe 15 minutes and an average person can figure it out. After everything was all setup, and I took the bidet for a test run, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to adapt to having a stream of water shot at my butt. I imagined a cold blast from a power washer, and that it would take me weeks to adjust, but the stream of water is gentle, and the warming temp is instant; Not a second of cold water came out of the nozzle! The BidetMate 2000 has a few simple adjustments that can be made to help the water stream "lock-in target" and provide a comfortable temperature and power level. The controls are pretty intuitive, so you'll likely never have to actually read the instructions. Some nice amenities that the bidet seat provides is a heated seat that is always on (no need to wait for it to warm up), a few settings to provide a massage (the stream moves back and forth against your bottom) and a pulse that alternates water stream strength. These two options can actually be combined, which I didn't see mentioned in the manual. The air dryer feature is nice, but it won't get you dry unless you dab away the excess water after the cleansing cycle, so don't throw out that toilet paper dispenser just yet. You'll want something to finish with, but you'll only be using 2 or 3 squares of toilet paper, which is a huge improvement in cost savings and waste reduction. The seat includes a carbon honeycomb filter, but just like any product that uses the "magic" of carbon filters to reduce odors, it doesn't actually do anything. The only time a carbon filter is useful is for water purification or forced air filtration. This addition is a waste of space and money in my opinion. OK, time to talk frankly now, so warning if you are sensitive to poop talk, and keep your pearls in clutching distance. Finding the proper nozzle adjustment and seating position to most effectively wash away all fecal matter takes a bit of time. You'll know you've found it when you have your first, "clench" moment. At that point you just need to train yourself to relax so that the water can do its thing. The pulse and massage features can help stimulate the anus to relax to allow full release of waste. Once you get these things figured out, you'll leave the bathroom cleaner than toilet paper could ever get you! I have read that the "power wash" mode is essentially a water enema, but I'm not sure how effective it serves that purpose. Maybe I just haven't gotten to the point where I can relax quite that much. For ladies there is a genital wash mode, which essentially provides a multi-stream of water that is softer than a single stream. I can definitely see the advantage of using a bidet for people that suffer from conditions like hemorrhoids or anal fissures. Although I cannot comment from experience, I have to imagine a gentle stream of water is superior to rubbing a dry piece of paper across your anus, and the fact that it leaves nothing behind to hold bacteria has got to be a win for those suffering from bleeding injuries that are easily irritated or infected. It is also a superior experience if you've eaten too much hot food, like Thai extra spicey noodles, or are suffering from irritation caused by prolonged diarrhea. I did have concerns about the durability of this bidet, after all it has a lot of parts that can fail, and something like this is used daily, and multiple times a day with a family. I have been using the BidetMate for about 5 months now, and I have to say that I am impressed that it still works like new and as intended! My only gripe would be that sometimes the temperature of the water stream is not always 100% consistent, especially at higher temps. It often "drops" to a cooler temp, and then slowly rises back up. Not really a big deal though, as the water is never cold. The only improvements I could see that would make this bidet top tier would be to add a cover that is durable enough to sit upon. The current cover just covers the seat, probably to help keep it warm. It is thin plastic, and I could see even a child breaking it. The nightlight feature is always on, and it is kinda' neat, but mostly useless. If it was a disinfecting UV light instead, it would greatly improve functionality. If you've been on the fence about buying a bidet, now is a great time to make the purchase. For a first time buyer, the BidetMate 2000 is an excellent choice! ... show more

  • Perfect customer support

This is a product review update. I gave this item a 5 star review not too long after I purchased it. And after nearly 3 years of use it's still 5 stars. Like anything a little technical, it helps to really read the operating instructions. But even if you don't, it works pretty good. My wife and I like it a lot. Having said that, the bidet developed a small issue after nearly 3 years of use. Occasionally, it would hum a little. Very low hum. Unplugging it, and plugging it back in stopped the humming. I contacted company that handled my Bidet Mate purchase on Amazon. After a few, almost instant reply emails, a new bidet will soon be on the way to me. My 3 year warranty expires on in 12 days ! This is perhaps the best warranty service I've every received in my life and I'm over 80 years old. It was quick, straightforward, and super easy. And I'm not kidding. Every email I sent to them resolving the matter was answered within an hour or so. ... show more

  • I didnt know what I was missing
Style: 2000 Series | Round | Side Panel
I never had a bidet before and I cant believe I lived without one for so long. We recently built a rural house with a septic so we were looking for something that would help us have less paper to put in the system. We have well water so increased water use wasnt an issue. This bidet with warm water, a warm seat and a night light was the answer to all my toilet hopes and dreams that I didnt know I needed. The water stream is adjustable to go a bit more forward for women, the water temperature is adjustable, the strength of the stream is adjustable. The water jet is completely covered so there's no splashing contamination at all. There's a self-cleaning feature too. ... show more

  • Do not buy this.
Style: 2000 Series | Elongated | Side Panel
The media could not be loaded. This was delivered to us on March 28th 2024, it is May 23rd 2024 and the product seat is starting to fade (pictured), mind you, this is a two persons household where there is another restroom, and one of the two is away all day. I was aware of this risk due to another one star review where the fading is much worse (ours is at the beginning stage), and if I recall correctly, that person was not able to excercise the warranty on account of "having used chemical products". But we didn't, it's been only paper towel and water for us from day one since I knew, and yet this is still happening. Now, if you don't mind a trashy look on your seat guaranteed within three months of use, by all means, buy this. I also now expect the product to not last at all in terms of the electronics, and general materials with which it is made. Don't waste your money on this, look for something else. Update, as of May 4th, scarcely one year after purchase (and just as warranty expir d of course), the product stopped working. It initiated functions and then stops as if water pressure were not enough. Just tested both pressure and flow, increased flow for the entire home and verified increased flow at install point. Nothing. Made in China. But I'll say this, it was as a great proof of concept run, the bidet as a product is a fantastic thing to have. Will buy a high quality product next time. ... show more

  • Awesome, warm, wonderful, pro women
Style: 2000 Series | Elongated | Side Panel
So as a lady, I use TP on every trip to the bathroom. I was concerned that some bidets would not help me clean my front. This DOES! The warm seat is reason enough to have this in any non tropic location for winter. The warm water is also great. Very beginning is a lil cool for a second, but what is more unnerving is how it has locked on targeting on your bullseye. Every time. Bullseye. I also battle yeast infections so I appreciate rinsing that away. It's not a feminine douche, but when I lean forward, the water spray works its way from my booty to my cooty. I don't use the dryer. I will always use TP to check the clean like a white glove checking for dust. We are very pleased. ... show more
