I can no longer afford the Gillette Mach 5 cartridges. So I searched a long time and found these. Affordable compared to mach 5. Very similar in design. Only complaint is the Bic razor is agressive and if I shave daily I break out in razor rash. I'm going to start heating a wet towel to prep my neck first to see if that helps. I'm pleased with these otherwise and plan to keep using them. ... show more

So i was tired of paying " The Big Buck $ " I shave my head every 3 days and thought i would save some money . The problem may be that the are too sharp and I have not nicke my self in years. The first time I got my head 3 times ( OUCH ) kinda felt like a teenager learning how to shave. Great on my face the head seems to be a little learning curve, so in all honesty will have to see. Quality handle but again i cant remember the last time i knocked myself first two shaves i got some nicks ... next two none !! Again i love the price I got the starter kit and some refills twice the amount actually more then twice for less then half so i am willing to try . I will add on to this review if it doesn't work out 1/26/25 so if there is no additions after two weeks then you will know a big bald guy is giving two thumbs up !! Lets hope ... show more

Comes with a handle and several blades in the box . Tried several other brands and found bic to be the sharpest and stays sharp for many shaves. They are good when I go slow. I usually use the BIC Single Blade Razor for Sensitive skin. The BIC Flex 5 blades took a little getting used to. With these blades I have to pull the blade slow and lightly across my face, listening to the pitch of the sound the blade makes. A low pitched sound is how it should be, if I pull the blade to fast across my face the pitch of the sound of the blade raises and I will likely get a nick. After each pass on my face, I push the blade in the opposite direction on my leg to clean the blade. When done shaving I rinse the blade clean and shake it dry. I always closely examine blades before use to make sure they haven’t been damaged, or are out of alignment. Using a damaged blade or poorly made blade makes for a really bad day. Around the side burns I still use the BIC Single Blade Razor for Sensitive skin. A single blade lasts me about 2-3 weeks. ... show more
