  • The best A/T tire for all-around daily use
I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I am in the process of doing some overland conversions to our 2018 Forester, and 29" tires were on the list. While the BFGs were on the high side price-wise, driving on these quickly proved why. Keep in mind that I have really only used these tires on paved roads, and some pretty bad country driveways that could be compared to a rutted dry, rocky river bed. Pros The Forester handles better on the road. Hard to believe that a taller off-road tire would perform so much better on curves than the original Yokohamas, but with the incredibly stiff sidewalls these tires have, she corners as well as some well set-up cars I have done. They are much quieter than I thought they would be. Don't get me wrong, they are noiser than the OE tires, but quieter than some Firestone GTA Firehawks with 15k miles. I know not everyone will get the reference, but suffice it to say they are very reasonable for A/T tires. The grip on all surfaces is amazing. The only place I felt any real slip was going diagonaly over train tracks with steel plates in between in the rain, and that was minor. Everywhere else they just grip. They look amazing. I know that that is a pretty minor point for tires, but for some, it really matters. I have received more complements on this vehicle with the few mods I have done than any other car I have modified (and I have done many over the years) because of the way they set off the Forester. Cons They are heavy. You will accelerate slower than you once did because of the extra weight. My choice to go with a taller tire also contributes to that, but comparing within the same size tire, the extra weight will make a difference. Your fuel economy will decrease as well. Ours dropped about 4mpg overall. For me, the cons were expected, and turned out not as bad as I thought. I couldn't be happier so far, and after we travel from PA to CA next year, I will update how they do across more surfaces. ... show more

  • Best off road tires out there
Style: R18 Size: LT265/70R18/E 124/121R
So this is the 3rd set of these I have bought. I put them on a 2014 Tacoma, a 2016 Tacoma and just the other day on my 2011 GMC truck I use for work. They make very little road noise, you will get at least 50k miles out of them. Depending on where you drive, (I’ve yet to have a flat and I drive through lots of rough areas on my farmland and construction sites), you will probably get more miles out of them. It’s the only off road tire I’ll buy. It’s way better than the others it competes with and you will be happy with these too!! ... show more

  • Second set of these....and all is good in the neighborhood.
This is my second set of these tires. The first set was on a 05 Duramax 2500 crewcab plow truck used in northern Michigan. Over 200 inches of snow and could not get stuck. Everything from deep powder to the wet slush they excelled in. I had to push some snow banks onto people's front yards due to having small driveways and even with the snow on the grass they had no issue. During the summer they behaved quite well too. Good grip on dry and wet pavement, and low road noise for being 285's. I put around 50k miles on that set and they looked about 30% worn. Now onto the new set. LT275/70 18's on a 2016 GMC Serria 1500 with 2in Moto Fab leveling kit. I have around 500 miles them and no snow yet (Anyone else notice how crazy warm it's been in the northern states this year!?!) They are as quiet as the stock tires (Goodyear Wrangler SRA 265/65R18) and are twice the tire. The truck looks like a truck now and the tires actually have some tred. GM should be embarrased they put those on the trucks. They have been as great as the first set in the rain and on dry pavement. Once the snow falls I'm sure they will be just as good but I will update to confirm. For me, these are the ultimate all around tire and at a good price. I highly recommend these. ... show more

Style: R18 Size: LT285/65R18/E 125/122R
Tires are Great.. Only Have 3200 miles on it. The treads are awesome .. im still in the guessing game with the right amount of air pressure but it rides sweet. 38psi on a Wrangler feels mushy, but 40psi felt a little rough.i have tried the chalk test and still felt weird since this tire can hold up to 80psi max,and dont forget this is an E tire with 10ply... over all its a great tire. Way better than that OEM crap that came in with. ... show more

  • A little more money goes a long way... waited to wear down OEM tires to justify buying a new set but I am a happy camper
Very good tires, my father in law who works for Michelin explained the benefits of these over the Michelin AT tires. I am happy with them so far and discount tire bought my stock tires, which had 40k on them, so I got a great deal. They were about $235 each installed with 4 replacement certificates. I went from 265-65-18 to 275-65-18 and I could have gone to 275-70-18 but I didn't want the speedometer to be off too much and those would have rubbed the sound dampening liner. I highly recommend these, I had a set years back on a Jeep and I could get anywhere! I drive over an hour one-way to work on the interstate and the sound is not bad, hardly any humming. I have noticed going to these larger tires about 1-2 mpg less on average. These are beefy tires and they ride very well, on my last truck I had Pirelli Scorpion AT's but they were horrible until the tires warmed up... then I went to the Cooper AT3 and those were great tires as well but they were a little stiff in the rain which caused some slip. ... show more

  • AWESOME!!
These are the 2nd set of KO2's I have owned, prior I had the KO's. All 3 sets have been perfect and there is very little I could argue with. I have use them from deep snow in NY state, the sand and mountains of 29 Palms CA and mudd of North Carolina. Not only have they lasted through the fun but 4 trips across country from NC to CA. I have just reached 231,000 miles all on 3 sets of KO's and will be purchasing another set in another year or so. I TRULY recommend these to anyone that wants a reliable tire. Ride: 5 🌟 Performance: 5 🌟 Snow: 5 🌟 Mud: 4 🌟 Rain: 5 🌟 Sound: 4 🌟 (they are all terrains 🤷♂️) ... show more
