It’s a cute toy for little kids. I love the protective plastic built around the drone so when it hits anything, it doesn’t damage it at all, it just bounces right off. We’re still trying to learn all of the controls on the controller to better play with it so it’s not the easiest thing but not super hard either. I’m super nervous about the battery since it’s very sensitive and I don’t want it to break but so far, so good. We fully charged the battery when we first got it before we used it like we were instructed but it didn’t seem to last very long. I’m not sure how long the battery is supppsed to last though. The charger doesn’t tell you if it’s fully charged or not which is frustrating so we just assume once the light goes off that it’s done after a couple of hours. I’m still glad that we got it for my son’s sixth birthday cuz he likes it, just gets frustrated trying to learn how to use it properly to do what he wants it to do. It seems to go off on its own sometimes too even when we don’t push any buttons but maybe we’re doing something wrong. It’s a good toy.

We like this mini drone a lot. Our 5 year old has gotten the hang of flying this one. Very easy to learn to do tricks. The kids fly it around escaping the dog and cat. Lots of fun to play with.

Through three batteries I could not get a stabilized hover. Glad I tried this before giving it to my 7-year old grandson. It would have been a disappointing present. Even at low speed, battery life was less than 2 minutes.

Flies great. Very smooth. The trim was pretty good right out of the box. I'm looking for a practice drone for my REC team and this might just be it. You don't have to hit a button to take off or land (huge plus in my book). You still can't turn off the motors by holding the throttle down. And you have to throttle up first to spin the propellers, then release and throttle up again to start flying. As much as I prefer direct throttle control (and no centering spring on the throttle) at least it's not some random button. And those particular controls are pretty easy to get used to. The durability is a bit questionable. The prop guards only partially guard the prop. This drone is almost exactly like every other drone that seems to have come out of the same mold. The ring around the props provides protection from the sides (and below, but the motors do that too). But there is little to no protection from above. The props should be recessed down in the prop guard ring, but they're not. It's just a bad design. This really only matters if you end up upside down... but it happens. This drone has a pretty good heading lock and recenters aggressively. Most people will probably benefit greatly from this feature. And even if you don't like it, you can get used to it because it's pretty consistent. In the $25 price range this is my winner (better than the TEMI that drops from the sky "randomly"). If you have $40 to spend I would go with the Q9S (slightly bigger, both smoother and faster somehow - which means I don't think it will fly like the expensive codrone-edu it is intended to simulate). The "sea Jump 5PCS 3.7V 400mAh Li Battery" (5 for $16 with mulitport charger) here on amazon are also a perfect fit. 2 batteries is far too few. 7 (2+5) is _almost_ non-stop fun.

It's no wonder there are so many happy people who have purchased this. Seems the few bad opinions were not being able to open the battery box. Trust me if you are able to open the shipping box you will have no issues putting in batteries. I have purchased quite a few of these mini toy drones and they have all been about the same. Kind of difficult in the beginning but you finale get the feel. Problem was that the toy was pretty much destroyed by that time. This thing is indestructible. Great for anyone who is lacking in the coordination to fly a big boy drone or kids under 8 years old who just don't care if they destroy a $40 toy. This drone has been in so many crashes. I would say it has crashed more than it has flown and still going strong. Expect a toy for a younger child and you will be happy. Not NEARLY as happy as the kids. It is so much fun just smashing it around the house. Not a good drone for outdoors at all. I need another one for Jay's sister and maybe myself. I will recommend this to family and friends.

This was a good first drone for one of my kids. He was able to learn how to fly it quickly and has enjoyed its rolling, climbing motions. The only downfall is that it isn’t very durable. The caging around the outside started to fall apart pretty quickly despite making sure we flew the drone carefully. If the outer part stayed together better, I would’ve probably said it was worth the 5 stars.
